Hello As per my information, you can upload the scanned original documents online. When submitting copies at VFS, you have to self attest them. I followed the same process and we got OCIs for our family.

Hello Geraldine Thanks 😊 I am not sure if VFS centre will help you out, as here in Canada, BLS don't help at all with online applications. They just ask you to follow the instructions from the booklet. However please make sure the photo and signature file should be under these dimensions: The height and width of the Applicant Photo must be equal. The minimum dimensions are 200 pixels (width) x 200 pixels (height). The maximum dimensions are 3500 pixels (width) x 3500 pixels (height). The height and width of the Signature Photo must have aspect ratio 1:3 The minimum dimensions are 200 pixels (width) x 67 pixels (height). The maximum dimensions are 3500 pixels (width) x 2500 pixels (height). I hope it helps 😊

Hello Shivangini, In the "Upload Documents" section, you are able to upload as many documents as it permits. You can bring the remaining supporting documentation to your meeting with BLS. We followed the same thing.

Yeah, thats one way too. You can either merge all of them in one PDF, or you can upload the docs required even if the drop down list is different. I faced the same thing, BLS employee told me the list drop down shows differently sometimes and we have to upload as per our case.

Hi Ohiyo, The instruction on the generated submitted form talks about left thumb imperession for all minors irrespective of being a boy or a girl. Did you read anywher about right thumb impression in case of a girl? Thanks

Hello Sandeep You have to upload the original documents, not the self attested copies. You can upload all the requisite documents for your application and sometimes the drop down list shows different options, but you can still follow the checklist and upload what's necessary.

Hello Natasha You can search online and there are many free websites and softwares where you can resize photos. I also used a link after googling it and it worked for me.

Hello All prerequisites should be satisfied for a minor application. A thumb impression is not necessary if your child can sign, but a NOC will be needed.

Nearly 4 points are irrelevant if You are applying from Australia 1) NOC - not required 2) baby signature or thumb - not required. If someone asking ..that's stupidity and meaningless. What action can be taken by any govt on months baby 😅. Simply upload a picture of "No Signature" according to their dimensions.. 4) if you sending application via post, simply get the photocopies attested by JP, notary, or general consulate ( the last option is a joke .. they charge some 70$ per document ... I'm the only stupid person in Australia who got that OCI attestation done..but that's for other purposes (loan purposes in India) ..not for OCI 5) no DD is required..just fill in the payment page with your CC details

Hi while uploading documents I can see only two options that are suitable for me which is current passport of baby and marriage certificate. So I can only upload those documents that I can see and the other documents I can take to walk in? Or I want to ask one more thing as parents we are not citizen of Canada we have Indian nationality.
