Great job here. Shocker is actually on my top 10 favorite films. Underrated to say the least.

OcpCommunications The ripoff argument doesn't make sense from the start. I mean how can something be called a ripoff of something else if they are both made by the same guy? In this case it is Shocker and NOES. They were both directed by Craven. I could understand if they were made by different people, but here the argument doesn't make sense. How could an individual 'ripoff' their own works, they're his ideas so he could do what he wants with them. That's like saying if I were to hypothetically create a painting. And then I create a variation or spinoff of said painting and people call me out for ripping off of the original artwork. That wouldn't make sense considering it was also made by me, so how would I be ripping off anyone? Sorry maybe this is not the best example and perhaps I didn't word it too articulately but I hope you understand my point.

you tell em mike what shocker really means for us true moviegoer fans.it's way more than a nightmare on elm street rip off it's it's own damn film.mitch pileggi doesn't have a scarred face like freddy does he has a regular face so right there just that alone isn't ripping off a nightmare on elm street.people who saw the film and hate it easily fall into that trap of comparing it to a film they like better even if the films are their own separate entities.mitch pileggi gves one of the most amazing and brutal characterizations in horror film history if you ask me as Horace pinker those who say he sucks as a horror villain clearly weren't paying attention he assaults you right straight between the eyes with his lean and mean character.keep fighting the good fight as always mike.

Thanks for defending Shocker, Mike. I love this movie and I don't know why people give this movie such shit. I think it's an underrated horror film. I liked it. I just argued with a couple people at work over this movie, especially with a guy who got this movie confused with PULSE (1988) starring Joey Lawrence.

Never saw the whole thing but I saw parts of it and when they were jumping through the tv it looked goofy and made me not want to watch more.

Goofy? To each their own man. This is a really fun flick. Not really scary but neither is People Under The Stairs when you think long and hard about it. Just a very fun entertaining enjoyable flick with horror elements. It is tongue in cheek and if you are expecting serious horror you will be seriously disappointed. But if you go into it expecting a weird wild and crazy time? You might just enjoy it. I really love the film for what it is. I would call it "finger lickin' good."
