The Octatrack is ageing like an old Stratocaster rather than turning into an obsolete box. These tutorials prove the point that the Octatrack is just relevant today as well it was released 10 yrs ago. I can't think of anything that even comes close. It's great to see some new tutorials, definitely the simplist explanation of Freeze delay I've seen.

Nice. Consider speaking above the OT track, or lower the level of your OT song when you speak. Maybe some ducking effect ;)

Ya, I realized this one needed that after I had already finished it. Next time!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Sometimes I think even Elektron is unaware of what their machines are capable of. 😄😄😁 Matt the Magician 🎩 it’s just a little Math involved 🤣😜🤣

I am wondering if there is a way to exclude some tracks from the delay loop
@shatteredsquare3 жыл бұрын
nooooo that's a perfect way to transition between songs
@EZBOT_3 жыл бұрын
😍 fading to a resampled loop is good too

Why would there be no signal coming through when DIRect is turned up, like you have? 0:51 does the lock setting make it ignore DIRect knob, unless send is above zero?

i think i've got it! Is there a difference in the delay's functionality, between having the delay on the master track or on any other track? I mean other than that it effects the whole mix?
@NOGASAYAN3 жыл бұрын
Awesome technique. 👌 Well does this mean, using the delay as a Looper and since you can hit stop while the looped delay is still running, you can also change projects while the looped delay remains running? So that you can transition seemlessly between different projects without having to stop the whole liveset? That would be a total gamechanger for me 😊
@EZBOT_3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried to change projects! Great question
@NOGASAYAN3 жыл бұрын
@@EZBOT_ yes, I've been searching a while for an option to change projects seemlessly. Would be nice if Looper delay does the job 😉

@@NOGASAYAN The answer is no, it will stop the audio as the new project loads

Hello there. I've added this and the remixing idea to my scenes - willing to give up the tracks ;) But I've noticed that the looped version isn't in stereo. Am I doing it right? Thanks
@EZBOT_4 жыл бұрын
Are you using the ping pong delay?
@monomakes4 жыл бұрын
@@EZBOT_ away from the OT right now, but I don't think so - can't hear it. I've also noticed that the necessity to have the feedback on the master channel at 127 hampers the use in other situations. Thanks for the replies.
@EZBOT_4 жыл бұрын
@@monomakes yeah, it's a one trick pony function. I like to use this event on the neighbor track of a thru track. That way I get a delay and a freeze
@monomakes4 жыл бұрын
@@EZBOT_ ah haa! now you're thinking Elektron! Damn! another track bites the dust. So many choices though :)

@@EZBOT_ thank you for getting back to me. Yes it’s still happening. Any suggestions?

@@EdCosico Double check if the Lower right option (PASS) on the delay setup page is turn to off. It basically let the original frozen sound (on this case, the seventh other tracks) still be heard or not
@EdCosico2 жыл бұрын
@@Romanowitch thank you so much for your suggestion! It was over a year ago so I don’t know how I resolved it. I have a feeling I may have made a template from a previously made track. Thank you, thank you both
