Looking back at how the last 12 months has unfolded it will be safe to say that Netanyahu and his right wing buddies intentionally ignored the warnings as they were only waiting for an excuse to do what they actually did to Gaza and to the West Bank. He has always said that he does not want any Palestinians living next door and that all the land around Israel should be part of a greater Israel.

What Occupation? Israel left Gaza in 2004. BTW, the only reason they were occupying was because Egypt refused to take it back when Sinai was returned by Israel to them in 1979.
