I have 5 of these and they're awesome. Many white-blooming camellias have very light green leaves that don't always look that great. This variety has beautiful deep green leaves that contrast nicely with the white flowers.

I am considering a moon garden look for a corner of my front yard...I work long hours and think it would be lovely to see blooms in the late evening when I get home. Will be on the lookout for one.

I'm so glad that you are not pushing proven winners--so tired of everyone with them even though its a great brand. Glad to see different plants that are just as reliable if not more so from different brands. With that said, I've always thought this plant as being super fussy. Now its another plant I need to find space for in the garden.

Jim, Im in Houston zone 9. I have 6 pink Shi Shi’s. They spent 1 year in pots and survived the Texas winter storm (outside) in 2021. Then I found Seafoam White Camellia. And I bought 4 of them. Hope to see them get 20ft. You are the reason I am in love with camellias. Thanks for all your knowledge.

I finally was able to get 3 of these this fall from plants by mail and I planted them September 16. They came loaded with buds but the first one just opened a day or so ago. I'm guessing the late opening was caused by transplant shock. They are beautiful plants for sure. I'm near the Gulf in zone 8b (almost 9a).

Please do a video on the different types of Pieris Japonica evergreen shrubs. I have one that’s buds white flowers which I think is a mountain Pieris or andromeda & another that buds pink flowers which I’m not sure which this is… please help.

I have 10 of these and the flowering is beautiful. They will get about 6 hours of sun in the peak of summer with most being the host afternoon sun. I am zone 7a and around my neighborhood there is quite a few other camellia such as Yuletide and one with light green leaves and pink pom pom flowers that have similar morning shade afternoon sun exposure so I am hopeful that come summer I will not have issues.

Love the look of the specimen in your yard. Our new house has two older camellias that are single white flowers that were pruned horribly by the previous homeowner. I would love to add some of this cultivar to the yard.

A disadvantage of white flowering camellias generally is hard freeze can discolor (brown) the flowers. Are these flowers more “freeze resistant “?

Since we live in The Camellia City (Slidell, Louisiana), I suppose we ought to put some in the ground. It’s hard to tell from the video what your spacing is between plants or how far out from a 6 ft fence they should be planted.

Really want to plant one of these, but the area I want to put it in tends to get more water when it rains. Due to drain pipe, the area takes takes little longer than surrounding are to dry out. Would mounding it up be sufficient or would this cause issues for this plant?

I need to find a spot for this plant in my 7A (WNC) garden! The previous owners placed the tall variety of camellias (10 ft.) so that the flowers can be seen from the window, but I believe the spot is now too shady. The plants aren't getting the part sun/part shade you recommend. Do you have any suggestions on what can be done?

I have a garden bed on the north side of my house. During the summer it gets full sun from about 2pm on. But right now, near the winter solstice, that area only gets the last hour of light. Since this bloom more in the fall winter when the amount of sun will be less then during the summer do you think it will still bloom? I’m loving the new channel.

I feel late the party: didn't know you had a new channel! (other than the collab with Bre). At any rate, I purchased my 1st 2 *October Magics: Ruby* , SLPC 3g (small though; maybe they were recently potted up). Also picked up 2 *William Lanier Hunt* sasanquas (Monrovia, 3g). I'm interested in best placement for all 4, given the morning shade, afternoon sun I have. How about placing 2 ft high/wide *April Series japonica: April Blush* near/under the canopy of a mature, tree form japonica? It will get afternoon sun, but the 15 year old japonica is doing okay there the past 6 yrs.

I purchased one at a local Pike store. The pot was started with 3 plants in it and I would like to separate them. Would you support this approach or should I leave it as it is? I love your videos and do appreciate that they are reasonably short, the higher chance to watch it.
