Me and my dad had a really poor season in upper Michigan, but thats grouse hunting always is one of the hardest seasons ive ever hunted

I’m a new upland hunter in PA I haven’t even gotten to experience grouse yet only pheasant. I’ve been having a blast I am trying to find areas in pa to find grouse but it’s hard. I just wanna say over the last month you have become my favorite KZbinr by far. I watch your videos every minute I have of free time. I study exactly how you hunt and listen to everything you say. Even hunting pheasants in pa you’ve taught me a lot. Also made me wanna get a bird dog lol. So thank you for doing what you do!

@ I’m in Armstrong county southwestern pa. But I’m willing to drive to hunt. I was looking at ryerson state park as a potential first spot. I’m really trynna find those clear cuts everybody be talkin about. I don’t have a dog so trails I can walk along and flush birds is the best. But I’ll dive into the thicket if need be🤣

I have really been enjoying your videos. I can’t imagine how hard it is to capture all that on camera. I am now retired in northern Wisconsin and hunt my three year old Brittany as much as weather permits. Thanks for showing your misses too. I had a frustrating day yesterday when I missed all five grouse over her points with 7 shots. Then today, I shot another 7 times at five grouse but came back with three. That is grouse hunting!

I have a grouse camp on the western side of the UP and the dogs stayed covered in them. Great video I was starting wo wonder if you were going to post an other this part of season lol

Thank you! Yeah its been a good but different year for sure. If we get it, hopefully some December type weather in a few weeks will bring some more consistency!

Great footage! My wife and I went to put out some corn and apples for the deer Thursday evening (Nov.14th). We probably weren't down there 10 mins. We came back to the house and I had a deer tick crawling on my right knee! We need a good hard freeze to get rid of the pest. Hope you bag a deer!

Spray your dog with sawyers permetherin!! Their website states its ok for the dog. Check with your vet and/or make sure they're not on other permetherin based topical products and give em a light spray. Haven't seen a tick since.

Anything you do to work on fetching with your dogs? My Brittany will find the bird but has gotten possessive and won’t leave the bird or bring it back to me anymore.

@@UplanderLifestyle…I see my favorite channel troll (Captain Caps) has resurfaced! I was beginning to wonder where he was. Perhaps his mother took away his computer privileges for not picking up her dog’s poop in the backyard. At any rate I’m glad to see that he’s back and supporting your channel; even if all he can muster is a sarcastic acronym. And thank you for sharing yet another high quality video. Your commentary, videography and editing are excellent….not to mention the dog work…exemplary stuff, again thank you.
