I had a shoebox of 511s I used to use to teach Scouts knife skills. Easy to touch up the edge, if needed, but usually the Mora's made it through the experience just fine. And so did the Scouts. Such a friendly (and safe) knife to use.

I have a drawer full of Mora's. Several 511's, since I started with them getting into Mora mods, especially with the carbon steel versions so I could do the mustard and vinegar petina tricks. Companions, Kansbol, Bushcraft black, 711, and others. I have the Garburg shipping to me as I type. For the price point, Mora's are a strong knife at a strong value.

If you goto architect knives you can buy the EX sheath for 26 dollars I couldn’t find the bundle of sheath on wet dog leather. Thanks for the video brother.!

I think you have to use a link on JRE INDUSTRY IG page

you can't go wrong with a 511. only downside to it is the fact the spine isn't 90 degrees but that is an easy fix

I never liked the sheath is righthand only. I personally like hultafors ok4 But i use BPS knives the adventurer or the fin lite. I really love the Aura its my favorite. Reminds me of a Mors kochanksi design.

That fin is a great option

I can pretty much agree with everything you've said about the 511, but I just never took to it. I wanted to like it, if only for its price-to-performance. For me, it has no "life" to it. Don't know how to explain. I have and love my discontinued red handle 510, my current black handle 510, my discontinued Mora 780, my discontinued Mora Craftline HighQ Allround, my Mora Spark Companion...but just can't warm up to the 511, nor the Hultafors GK Heavy Duty for that matter, both of which get high marks everywhere I turn. For the price, I totally understand having a small pile of them around for students, scouts, or others who may need to borrow a knife.

You said an important thing that you don't hear often on YT. "Just because the handle is comfortable for you doesn't mean it's comfortable for someone else". You get lots of obsessions with the best whatever or the item is great for them so they have to tell everyone else to get it, no, the item is good for them, not necessarily for you. How do they even know if it's the best whatever? Have they tried every one of those items extensively? Of course not. Have you seen the belt loop thing on the Hultafors OK4? I copy versions of this for my plastic sheathed knives including Moras. Maybe this could be useful for you.

I'll check it out, as for folks knowing what's best for others they don't.. I think all we can do is share the fact and give educated opinions on stuff. Thanks for the support braw
