Epson XP-55 - Replace the waste pads and fix the waste ink counter error.

The XP-55, like many older Epson inkjet printers has a waste ink pad and counter that can appear to cripple and stop the printer from working. This video shows how to access and replace the waste ink pads using our XP2 Printer Pad kit:

Thanks Martin, clear, concise instructions which worked a treat when I got the Epson 'send us your printer along with loads of money' message. You don't have to change the pads after you have used the reset software but eventually you will get so much ink accumulating in the waste container that it could spill over the edge onto your nice clean carpet! For a small outlay I reckon it's woth doing. After all, Epson probably know what they are doing even if Martin has stopped them getting anymoney out of me!

Having had a few folk handed their phone and instructed to phone me or a divorce solicitor, post carpet spill, I can't recommend changing the pads or fitting an external waste kit enough to avoid that overflow. You can get away with a little extra waste but waiting for a full waste ink life cycle is... well... not pretty. Thanks for the thumbs up :)
