Gotta agree on the thinness! The octopus pelagos is my preferred one compared to the seestern/san martin/ixdao due to that reason alone. I can't really decide on black or blue though hahaha

Don't have to decide because they are out of stock despite what AliExpress shows. I ordered mine 4+ weeks ago and still not shipped. They said they are having trouble sourcing the bracelet. They don't know when OR if!

Really good review and really impressive watch. I can’t get past the name though, hence I bought the San Martin version. However if they ever make a sterile version I’d happily reconsider

Dont order! They are a bit shady, ordered mine around Aug 22, still not shipped. They told me they are having trouble sourcing the bracelet and dont know when OR if they will get more. Their storefront show a few avail but thats a lie

I thought the price was dew to the top movement, but that is cheap also... so why the rather high price tag ? I stick to my PDs, Addies and Tandorio.... top quality for the price Frof, San M and Octopus ...for that money I look at big brands...Seiko, Timex, Orient...

If you're happy with those brands, keep buying them. They are awesome value. But move up to the"big brand" it's not just the movements. It's the finishing, lume, bracelets, clasps, crowns, crystals....it's all better.

GREAT review ! But if you could add some technical detail, maybe check the depth rating, regulate the movement to see what it can do, take the back off to see the the spacer rings and movement details ?

Good points. I don't have the tools for depth and accurate time readings. Opening the caseback to see if it's metal or plastic spacer is an interesting idea...I just don't think many care about that stuff....but maybe I'm wrong 🤷

Can you tell me the width of the center link? Im trying to swap out the clasp with a San Martin adjustable clasp.

Sorry, I have sold this one on already. Looks to be the typical width (9mm) but I can't be for sure. In my experience even the slightest of differences will not work. The tolerances are very tight

The ability to service the pt5000 might be the biggest issue in the future.

If you're going to play around with a lot of Chinese watches, I still think the best investment is the knowledge in the tools to replace a movement. PT5000 is about $75 and can be replaced in about 30 minutes
