Beat saber uses an analogue scoring system. You get up to 100 points for a swing that starts with a 100 and ends with a 60 degree angle. You also get up to 15 points for hitting the block right through the center. These scores are combined and compared to a perfect run to get your performance score. A full 100% score will probably never be achieved on a song with more than a couple dozen notes seeing as it is really hard to get a consistent perfect score.

Some people have been using this gameplay to highlight the notion/idea, that there are no issues with the Quest version of Beat Saber. However this is Beat Saber using a Quest 2 hooked up to a decently powered PC, this absolutely is NOT Quest 2 native gameplay, and the issue with Beat Saber on Quest 2 native, that appears to many as a tracking issue, actually is not a tracking issue at all, but in fact relates to the Quest 2 SoC not being powerful enough to run the game without hitches in performance and dropped frame-rates which cost the user/player on Expert and Expert+ - especially on certain tracks. Understand I am taking nothing away from the phenomenal gameplay or skill on show here. My point is ONLY this - this gameplay should NOT be used to suggest that there are no issues with the game and its performance on the Quest 2 in a native sense. I would love to see the Pro player here take on the same tracks with Quest 2 native and see what differences they find in their scores.

I got the quest 2. and when I play on expert it seems to sometime miss even though I thought I hit it. like the saber just flies through the block without registering. But Taichi is playing this song no problem on the quest. is he using index base station for better tracking or only the quest with no outside tracking assistance? anyone know? Or does he have beat saber installed on the headset instead of steam with steamvr enabled? since I got beat saber on steam so have wondering if it could be my computer that is not fast enough.
