there is an easier way to do this but it doesnt do game audio you can just press the wifi symbol on the top and it will stream your headset to your pc i think there is an option to make it 16:9 im not too sure

You need developer mode and you have to create an organisation for that. I mean, 90% of us propably have done this, but if you're down here, wondering why it doesnt work, check out a tutorial on how to use sidequest in general for the first time first.

thanks, works on the mac too. some people may find that they need to enter developer mode first, if new to side quest and if the top left is showing as not connected - ensure headset is bluetooth connected (and connected) on phone's oculus app. when done, go to devices->developer mode and turn it on. you may need to create your own organisation, i just put my name and it said done automatically. i verified (just clicked the link) and those two steps were it, now in developer mode when i tried turning it on in the app. then you can follow the above steps, because sidequest top right shows as connected

If you play rec room turn foviated rendering it doesn’t reduce performance and makes it look 10 times better

You can also make these into your own bat file if you want then you can just connect to SideQuest and double-click the .bat file you create on your home screen for quick activation, just a suggestion

Great video! Are there any commands that can alter the angle of the recording of the FOV i guess? when i am recording beat saber you can barely see where my hands are most of the time and a lot of the action is taking place right at the bottom of the frame

@Wishful I just made a .bat file you can just run after you turn on sidequest. Just make a new .txt document and copy this in it and save it: %APPDATA%\SideQuest\platform-tools\adb.exe shell "setprop debug.oculus.capture.width 1920 & setprop debug.oculus.capture.height 1080 & setprop debug.oculus.capture.bitrate 10000000 & setprop debug.oculus.foveation.level 0 & setprop debug.oculus.capture.fps 60" @pause then rename the document to "something".bat and run it after you turn on sidequest.

the reason the 60fps isnt working is because it already is recording in 60fps so dont bother trying to fix it ps it worked for me

Okay so every time I either shut off oculus or it dies those commands will be erased and it will be set back to normal then I will have to reinstall the commands every time it’s does Or shuts off right

I loved this video but found one issue when I'm recording Beat Saber the camera is super shaky because I'm moving a ton. I understand on the Rift S there is a feature in settings to stabilize the camera for recording, but that feature is not on the Quest as far as I'm concerned. Is there a fix for this or should I just keep still :)

I just want to know how to do this but casted onto a pc so i can actually stream other than facebook. Somehow not one source on the internet explains how to do that. If you cast via developer hub its only in a 4:3 ratio.

Bear in mind that in exchange for 16:9 recording you're sacrificing 1/3 of the second resolution, so then actual video might be missing things you actually look at that won't appear in the finished clip.

What's the capture bitrate and capture fps by default while recording in Quest?

I'm not sure on bitrate but fps is variable as it records high and low fps at any given time. It's why audio tends to be out of sync in a lot of recordings and there are guides to fix that due to the variable fps recordings.
