To be fair i think vegapunk is completely wrong about it. Like roger said he was too early, and we see remains of roger pirates, and roger himself with his dead trying to bring people that can do something about it. One being at the start of grand line, one being in mid point redline helping with coating rayleigh ofc, oden before he died trying to open up wano for return of joyboy, roger dying ushering the great pirate age, shanks stealing the nika fruit that luffy ate.

It's crazy to think of the Fishmen, Minks and Giants as the equivalent of Pacifistas. The whole Fishman race could be a side effect of the ancient kingdom creating Poseidon. The Minks could be from early experiments to make zoan Devil fruits. The OP communities current thinking about the Iron Giant seems to be that it'll take the place of Vega Force 1 and carry the Thousand Sunny to the sea. In my fetid mind this raises the possibility that Nico Robin ends up with the triangular transponder snail. She's been world famous as the "Devil Child" from Ohara for decades. I suspect most of the population knows about her and had at the least seen her child bounty poster at some point in their lives. Vegapunk has been talking up Ohara in his broadcast, so if his broadcast were to get cut short and the triangular snail landed in her hands she could finish what he was about to say, possibly finish what Professor Clover was also about to say before he died. I didnt say this but here is my fully tin foil thoughts - The world has been flooding for a really long time - The ancient weapons speed this up, but aren't actually the cause - Joy Boy discovered the truth of the world, from before the void century. Meaning he was living in his own world with mysteries at the time - Joy Boy(or his crew) then created the ancient weapons to actually fix the world from a problem basically everyone didnt know about - However the weapon was used, or was stolen and then used, or the people learned about them... and feared them - Therefore Joy Boys plan for them was never completed But the basic premise is the weapons will fix a problem with the world itself, that predates the void century

It would certainly match the reference Vegapunk made to the Greek myth of Icarus a few chapters ago. I think the advanced technology of the Void Century originated from the Lunarians or some other advanced race who centuries beforehanded guided the races of the earth into developing this technology. They are hinted at being the original "gods" of the world, but were usurped and replaced once they caught up. The 20 kingdoms suppressed this technology out of fear that it could be misused, but as they became corrupted they continued to suppress it for fear of their own power being usurped. This could be inspired by the Norse apocalypse the Ragnarok which was a fated battle which would see the deaths of most of the gods, or the Titanomachy where the Olympians lead by Zeus overthrew the Titans which lead by his father Chronus and became the new gods. This would also confirm that history repeats itself as Chronus as usurped his father Ouranos as beforehand. Zeus himself was obsessed with the same happening to him and tried to do what was necessary to prevent him from suffering the same fate as his father and grandfather. The Lunarians likely ruled the planet like the Sumerian gods the Anunaki once did, but the Ancient Kingdom took their place at some point and then the World Government took their place. There could also have been some "traitors" among the Lunarians who teamed up with races of earth to take down their own kind who may have begun to abuse their power which could be a reference to the nephilim which were angels who mated with human women to create the giants. Perhaps certain races that are stronger than humans on average such as fishmen or giants could be the result of genetic experiments which may have been created as slave species to the gods. These species who were once slaves may have become very prominent in the Ancient Kingdom, and humans may have been the ones who were oppressed during this time. The "great cleansing" V. Nujuro mentioned several chapters ago may have been a reference to this event, and event which may explain why humans vastly outnumber the other races.

Luffy also needs to give the hat away so he can replace it with the original Straw Hat. During his fight with Imu, I can see Luffy getting his ass kicked. Being thrown all over The Holy Land Mary Geoise crashing into the freezer. He sees the Hat puts it on his head and says, "That's better. I feel like me again. Goes in to Gear 5 and starts laughing.

I've been thinking lately about the Dressrosa arc being a microcosm of the entire One Piece story. Remember how Doflamingo manipulated King Riku to seem like the villain so he'd swoop in like the hero, but was actually a master manipulator? What if the same thing happened with Joy Boy and the 20 kingdoms? They set a trap for Joy Boy, and made him seem like a monster, and that's why his friends (Zunisha, the giant robot) abandoned him, and that's Zunisha's crime, and the reason that the robot attacked Marijeoise was out of guilt?

My thoughts & opinions of the chapter: 1. With Crocodile watching Vegapunk's message, as well learning why the Roger Pirates did what he did, I now wonder if Buggy will become his guide into helping him find the Pluton! Who knows, this could be a perfect way for both sides of Cross Guild to get what they want! 2. It's no surprise that sometime in the next chapter, York & the Elders will try to destroy the Iron Giant in an effort to end Vegapunk's message for good. But regardless on how the broadcast ends, do you think that what Vegapunk said until now will be what inspires the world to rebel against the Government, and/or at least save themselves from another massive flood? 3. If Rayleigh & Shakky were at Sabody, then it is possible that the Boa sisters & Gloriosa are tagging along with Hancock in her journey to find & "marry" Luffy, which could become an unexpected set up for the next Arc, regardless on where the SH & their allies will go after Egghead! If so, then this could be a great opportunity for some Hancock related theories to be confirmed one way or another! 4. If Vegapunk is able to take his share of the blame for what happened to Lulusia, then it might be possible for him to make amends with the Kuja Tribe who were harmed by the Seraphim. Whether or not the citizens of Amazon Lily will be able to forgive him.

I feel like oda took a little bit of inspiration from Oppenheimer for vegapunks character. I think oda is using a lot of different scientists like Einstein with the iconic picture and newton with the apple obviously, but for Oppenheimer he was researching atomic/ nuclear energy but ended up paving the way to nuclear bombs (i didnt watch Oppenheimer so im not 100% correct and just going off of memory) but this fits for vegapunk researching the mother flame for society but ended up fueling uranus

Oppenheimer himself is famously known for quoting a passage in the Hindu scripture the Baghavad Gita after the first testing of the Atom bomb, it is "I have become death the destroyer of worlds." The Hindu scriptures are quite the read, all you need to do is slightly change a few details and they will read just like sci fi novels. This story is a dialogue between the god Krishna and prince Arjuna before a major battle in which many of Arjunas friends and relatives are on the opposing side. Arjuna dosen't want to fight them, and discusses his despair with Krishna. The main takeaway of this text is that the right course of action isn't always as clear cut as it seems, that many times situations aren't black and white, but grey. Vegapunk himself is an arguably grey character in that he has done a lot of good things as well as a lot of bad. "I flew too close to the sun" he said in a recent chapter.

Joyboy, I wanted to hear your thoughts on this head canon of Imu’s end goal (I dont know if this is being said in the community already but this chapter made me further believe in this possibility): What if the goal of the “great cleansing” is for IMU to recoup all the devil fruits? DF Users, who cant swim, would definitely drown. The ones that dont drown, would eventually die, and the Devil fruit cycle restarts. If Imu has control of all the lands above sea level, by default he/she may possess all trees, and therefore all Devil Fruits. Eventually Imu can posess Sun God Nika’s fruit and defeat their nemesis. It also ties back to what Dr. Vegapunk said, that he cant really tell if that person is evil or not. Cleansing the world from the “Devil fruits”… is it an evil thing? Passing down the Ancient Weapons to fight back against Imu and keep the DF, is that evil? Side note about Luffy, Nika and the Mother Flame: I wonder if Luffy’s “fire” attacks are him starting to channel that power. Eventually we are going to see a “Mother Flame Gatling” attack, which can REALLY damage the Gorosei and Imu

On the Crocodile mystery of information about Pluto, I have had a theory that Crocodile might be the previous amazon empress (Maybe why he doesn't like Whitebeard and was obsessed with defeating him because of gloriosa and common amazon hatred of men), if we combine this with the possibility that Amazon Lily was in fact founded by Nefertari Lili, there might have been information passed down over the centuries. My first thought about York's confusion is that the recording happened just before the straw hats arrival, and it is possible for Vegapunk to be aware of the theft of the Mother Flame, but not know who stole it. Vegapunk creates the Mother Flame York siphons off some of its power Vegapunk, who would have monitors to measure the power output of the Mother Flame, would detect a drop in its power Vegapunk, worried about what this could imply, sent detectors to islands that he suspected the Celestial Dragons/WG might have problems with. An island disappears, worst fears confirmed, record death message York didn't find out Vegapunk was suspicious because the Stela body itself only just recently put the pieces together.

He also kept from her everything else like the hidden den den muchi. It doesn't make sense to do this unless you suspected her....

If the Mother Flame had a power output X, and the value of X changed, that can be measured and thusly detected. If the Mother Flame had a rate of growth Y, if Y changed, that can be measured. If York messed with the monitoring equipment to fudge the details, and edited the charts of previous readings to hide what was done, those changes will be noticeable when other details don't line up. The wider the net York throws to cover their trail, the harder it is to hide that something was done. Even if the other Vegapunks never saw that the numbers themselves were wrong, they would notice something was wrong, and that the Mother Flame was at the center of the discrepancies, that is all that the Stela body would need to suspect that something was wrong. Camo doesn't work from all directions from all distances, all the time. All that is needed to be done for York's deception to fall apart, is for one of the others to be looking from a direction York wasn't.

The other possible explanation for Stella's realistic reactions are that he used S-bear to repel the knowledge he gained. The recording may have happened just before he tasked baby kuma with this too deliberately keep things under wraps. He only concealed this from suspected york, atlas and lilith, so I'll assume the other satellites also chose to participate and helped Stella piece things together

This chapter was not as lore heavy as the other two, but it does flex on the unanswered questions. Imu having a portrait of Lili (assuming it's Lili) though is interesting, given how Imu criticized her in front of Cobra, it shows that there's more to this story than we know. I was shocked though to learn that the Mother Flame used on Lulusia is classed as a 'fragment'. We expected that it was powering an ancient weapon - likely Uranus - but like, that was a partial of it!? What could the whole thing power? York's little panic as well was interesting, did Vegapunk know her deceit? Shaka did mention that he expected to be killed when talking to Dragon after all. Think we missed the brain wave moment of her figuring out where the snail is, but it does help bring the Iron Giant back into substantial play - if the Gorosei struggle against it we may get insight on how to defeat them. Outing the Roger Pirates though is a curious play. It makes the public panic and it puts a big target on all ex-Roger pirates' backs. As much as Vegapunk has been painting the idea that no side is in the right, he does paint them as pirates who are happy to allow the world to sink, which is weird given that he doesn't even name the WG for what happened to Lulusia. Rayleigh seems disappointed that the beans are spilling, I wonder if Robin feels the same, but I feel like there's more to it than what Vegapunk knows. Joy Boy wanting to pass down the ancient weapons too is strange, is it like what Pain in Naruto was planning with the Tailed Beasts? Was the plan for Joy Boy to make a world of pirates? An world of all-sea? Why does Rayleigh think that others could interpret the answers differently? It's all very curious. But this reveal is gonna benefit Buggy massively, the world knows that he and Shanks were on Roger's crew, but they don't know that they never went to Laugh Tale - so they'll likely assume that he knows the ancient knowledge, which'll add to his clout. Stussy letting Kaku go free is very interesting though, I still think Lucci might try a double tap but does Kaku step in? We were hoping for such a face turn from Kizaru but maybe Kaku is the one who finally pulls through and takes the out. Elizabello confirming that Lulusia is gone is gonna be a big deal though, he has a seat on the Reverie, Lulusia did too, they can't be wiped from history and as a Grand Fleet member he can rally the kings and queens of the nations. Also a small thing but we saw Ju Peter now just up and hoovering CP agents, if the Navy are trying to save them that's gonna be a conflict of interest right? But a break now, which makes me feel like Oda's cooking something real bug next chapter.

I think vegapunk could tell, that someone stole a part of the mother flame because of his instruments. The energy comming from it probably had a small decrease or something, and vegapunk knew one of the sattelites was probably responsible for that, but he had no idea who. So the genuine surprise was probably because he deemed york the least likely one to betray him

@JoyBoyTheories To answer your question on how he knew someone would take a part of the mother flame. Vegapunk read the poneglyphs. They seem to hold some specific events that are bound to happen in the chain that leads to the eventual Ragnarok. I believe the stealing of the mother flame was not only one of these events but may also parallel an event from the void century. The stealing of that mother flame could be how Imu framed Joyboy for the world to turn on him. I believe Uranus' true use is to control the weather, just like Vegapunk wanted to do, but its ability to control atmospheric energies can also focus it into beams.

The mother flame is attached to various different machines, I’m sure at least one of them gives an energy output reading. So when a small portion of that energy was taken, the reading would have changed even if only for a brief moment. Which could have been enough to plant a seed of suspicion in Vega punks head. Then picking up the mother flame over Llucia would have only confirmed it for him. The realization that someone not only stole the mother flame but used it to power an ancient weapon lead him to come up with his plans because there’s no way he could hide his void century research now.

So the big thing that we need to focus on now is that they made it seem like just a tiny bit of the mother flame was stolen. At least small enough where they thought it would go unnoticed. Now that the 5 elders are within reach of such a large amount, Imu might tell the elders to let everyone go and instead focus on securing the remainder of the mother flame essentially giving them at least a good 5 or so times they can use the ancient weapon. Which could sink Goa, the island where Blackbeard is, Elbaf, Fishman Island, although that's already underwater but could kill the inhabitants and wherever else they need to. If Devil Fruit users cannot swim Imu can honestly clear the board quite easily by firing off shots at Luffy centered strongholds/areas. All I know for sure is that shits coming to a head and we'll have to see how intense it gets once they get to Elbaf. The other thing was that somehow I thinking it's fairly obvious now we can be pretty certain that either someone was at Laugh Tale or something was written and left there to explain to Roger what was going to happen. Had Roger revealed that there are so many ways Luffy would have had his journey impeded. Bringing up ancient weapons publicly would have led to people searching for them and far more road blocks. So he kept quiet and believed in Luffy or believed in what he was told/shown. Roger keeping quiet was the spark, the faith. Any other way and Lucy might not have overcome all the battles and hurt he encountered along the way. Nothing helps growth more then overcoming obstacles

The Oden parallel can be taken a bit further, he sends his will (Momo) to the future along with three weapons. One of those weapons is used by his enemies (Kanjuro). His journal is like the poneglyphs. Momo's going to bring down the wall like Luffy will bring down the Red Line. Do the remaining Scabbards correlate with something else, maybe the Gorosei?

The Stella we know is actually ego, that's why it truly believed it was the main primary being and because he was the first one activated the others assumed he was right. The reason Vega punk would have made ego his first clone so that he could clearly look past himself to the truth of the world and the death of the "stella" body is representative of ego death which finally frees the primary Vega punk to act without concern for anything but the truth, a scientist dream.

Shaka doesn’t share this information with York, but he also doesn’t tell Stella who it was knowing Stella will give the game away. Instead Shaka (Logic) informs Stella about the steal and tells him to act accordingly.

I want to think it ends with the name of the Ancient Kingdom, which is what Clover was trying to say when he got killed. I think think if Vegapunk has anything else left to say that would probably be it. Maybe he knows something about the last Ancient Weapon but I sort of dont what to think that cause I want that to be something we find out in the story as we go on seeing it up close and in action. There could be some minor things he has left to say we don't know or didn't put fully together originally, but for big things I can only see the name of the kingdom being left.

So it is possible that the Vegapunk that got turned into a baby is still alive and well, and that the Vegapunk who was captured by York was not the same person as the Vegapunk that was turned into a baby. We never saw Vegapunk being kidnapped by York, which could imply that the Vegapunk who was captured by York is a different entity from the Vegapunk that teleported into the iron guant. It is possible that Vegapunk who was turned into a kid somehow avoided detection, saw what happened at egghead, then somehow traveled back in time and watped himself into the iron giant, thereby giving him time to create the broadcast.

I think we can make interesting theories if we take what York said as hints. 1) VP didnt know it was York, but he did know that SOMEONE must have. I think we should be asking HOW can they both not have known about each other through the daily updates at the end of the day? The easy answer is that VP just found out in the current day. The hard answer is that VP really knew about the WGs plans like York suggested and apparently let it happen???? 2) Since there is something funky going on about the timeline as York said, there could be some time traveling shenanigans going on… it is VP who is based on Einstein after all.. with the whole time and space theme… since the answer isnt clear, i think the explanation will be something wild. im too dumb to think of anything good… looking forward to the answer
