This is a good base/ simple scanner with a few useful features other then just read and clear codes.. but it's NOT a complete scanner like what you would find in most big shops. BTW just change the seatbelt buckle.
@DirtydogMech8 жыл бұрын
yes i borrowed it from a friend . it was the only one i was able to read the code with . pretty good scanner for the price isntead of the thousands it would cost for a more spohsicated one that big repair shops use Yeah i had the seat belt replaced

I have one myself and for the price it beats the ones you can buy at the parts store!

I have this tool but when I try to read SRS or ABS codes from my 2005 Suzuki Aerio sx4 it says "The fault code is not found in the database". So I tried updating with the update tool, it updated suzuki vehicles to 11.81 but when I try to read codes after the update I select the airbag and then the tool freezes. Same happens when I try to read any other info such as engine data. Is there a fix for this?
@Adr_Jim8 жыл бұрын
joel castro because it's a cheap scanner lol, it should be fixable by updating it maybe in a new update soon if not just contact the company

Vauxhall isn't Australian, its an English brand owned by a French company. In Australia they have holden which is owned by gm who used to also own Vauxhall.
@iwd17055 жыл бұрын
Vauxhall belongs to Opel which now belongs to Peugeot. Holden still belongs to GM, but as far as I know there is no car construction in Australia anymore. The brand still exists but there seems to be an unclear future.

@DirtydogMech8 жыл бұрын
Sterlyn Ali I asked a friend. He believes that only a Nissan computer or a Snap On MODIS computer would be able capable to check it out
@Adr_Jim8 жыл бұрын
Sterlyn Ali No it won't bro, this scanner is only for reading/ clearing codes , will also retract rear electric pistons to perform rear brake pad job and will also set electrical power steering to 0° for alignment jobs.

they are just parameters or ranges of ratio/percentages/and voltages sensors are reading. Each vehicle has it own specified range they should be at.

I'm sorry but I have to justify my thumbs down. First of all, you failed at reviewing this diagnostic tool. Your name is DirtyDogMech I think which may imply your a mechanic if some sort. You really should learn the fundamentals of a car before showing what you can't do. I believe what this scanner was attempting to tell you was you have an SRS or airbag system problem and you were looking for a way to just clear the light on the dashboard. Now you borrow a tool which you know nothing about and attempt to do it. The tool indicated to you that you have a problem with your seatbelt which you think is correct cause you can't seem to get it to lock in. That's not your problem. If you noticed, but you didn't, the seatbelt light stayed on even after you buckled it. Probably the contact switch within the seatbelt is bad. Then you reset the light. This is where I stop the video. The SRS light will come back on but what really gets me is you know nothing about this system nor the scan tool your using. Wasting time for anyone to learn anything of what you are doing or attempting to demonstrate. Only good technicians use these kind of tools. Not someone who hopes to. This is constructive criticism, don't whine about it.
@Hellondais5 жыл бұрын
The seat belt is part of the restraint system which includes the airbags. Faults in the restraint system should result in a restraint system trouble light.
