With the Metabo grinder, after 40 years of repairing "stuff" the cable most of the times faults at the tool end when behaving like this, some times at the socket. Most of the time you can pull the wire from the cord with two fingers so the fault is few centermeters from the tool where it flexes the most. I have gotten many free tools just because of this simple fix.

Definetly build a pump house. My grandfather built one from "narva plokk". Nowadays its called Aeroc or whatever. 30 cm thick walls act as a insulation as well. At - 10 C it needs some extra heating in there, but thats because the floor is level with ground and the foundation is made of limestone. Cold gets through. Still, quite good. Half the floor is concrete, the other half 16/32 gravel on top of sand. That way if you have water accidents, it will seep into the ground even during winter. In that pump house you can also mount a lets say 1 ton water tank, for when there is no electricity or other emergencies.

Great video as always. The locking ring coming out from the front axel on the T-40AM is a very common issue. I did notice the locking ring(pushing) has the hole egged out. The fact it came loose is not a very good sign. If you put Loctite on the threads of the locking pin. It should not migrate outwards. So temporary you have it fixed at least to the foreseeable future. I both a one ton cube for watering plants for 90eur. But it's a clean chemical free container. I could have gotten a random one for much cheaper but don't want to poison myself. I like the idea using the metal frame to store firewood and this little cube box stores a lot of it.

Hey we are useing the same JCB boxes for our firewood! They work great. You can easily stack two or even three of them. but be prepared that the pallets underneath will rott away quite soon if they are exposed to the weather. the wood is cheap.. we exchanged most of them with plastic pallets by now. these do a pretty good job but will cost some extra money.. but you can also build your own pallets with your own, better wood! if you are lucky you will get some boxes with steel pallets underneath, these only bend when you hit em wrong with the forks, but they last forever.

The ones you can put distilled water in. Much better batteries all around. And if you heat it up here and there you can add more distilled water and recharge. I get at least 8 years out of them and then usually I have traded the car in. Easy-Peasy. I also buy brand new Blems if you can.

As for the "bunker", I think it's a great idea. I would check into the price of a precast "septic" tank (No worries about driving over it with a car or small tractor) and/or, if available there, a reinforced plastic one or any other similar, watertight vessel that's big enough, before casting one yourself. An emergency bunker might be a possibility? Or the same companies may make something suitable. If going with precast, get any holes you need made by them. Plus get seals from them. This was you know they'll last.
@otofoto Жыл бұрын
27:35 BMS protection kicked in and prevents it to charge. BMS is battery management system or gauge for Li-ion batteries . You could try to replace li-ion elements and see if it charges. Disconnecting battery and reconnecting could also help as then it could reset BMS. Also if multiple battery elements used then check if they are not at different charge levels. It is possible to revive overdischarged element by giving short 30sec boost with 5V directly to increase voltage slightly to accept charge.

Batteries on start and stop vehicles are not classic lead acid batteries. The are EFB or AGM (Enhanced Flooded Battery /absorbent glass mat ) they last way less by design, they are made to discharge deeper than classic lead acid batteries,and are smaller. The little module bolted right on the battery lead is responsible to measure direct battery voltage and decide if the start and stop can be used or not. EFB or AGM batteries are way more expensive to buy. 3 years is normal life span for this kind of battery,you can improve that by not using start and stop at all,wich will save life of your starter motor and engine life in general. You have a EFB battery ,it's written on it on its top.

15:42 Number one, their high cycle counts compared to non "stop start" batteries, and Two, usually these batteries could do with being bigger and higher CCA, as the rate at which they will degrades and because of Stop/Start, means they aren't great long term.
