Very nice project. When I build one I will consider setting the filterhoses offset in order to make a more even airflow and to have airflow between all the tabletop strips

I was surprised when I tested the air flow, there was only about 10 percent difference between all of the 14 holes.

I was wondering about doing that when I saw how the top slats would have some dead spots without leaving an air gap underneath.

Can you share the wiring instructions on how you wired this… I’m building the same thing with the same blower, just wanted some input on the wiring

What is the difference between this squirrel cage blower and an old dust collector blower?
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams2 жыл бұрын
This blower moves a lot of air, but at a low static pressure (resistance from filters ect.) A similar cfm dust collector blower would be able to move the air even with more resistance from duct work and elbows. The dust collector blower would probably be much louder because of the more powerful motor.

Está bien, veré qué puedo hacer. Todavía tengo algunas ideas originales.

Thanks for these videos. I have been planning to build a smaller version of your dust table from your shop tour video so this will be helpful. I already have a fan out of a furnace. It is 1200 cfm. Do you think it will work with your filters or is this blower to powerful for those size filters?
@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams2 жыл бұрын
These filters are rated at 35 CFM per square foot and they are 2 square feet each. You can add more filters to match the fan. Generally, the more surface area the better the airflow. I would say your blower would be just about right by the time you add the resistance of the filters. What size table were you wanting to build?

@@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams Thanks for the reply. The table will be 48 inches long. I was planning on about 30 to 36 inches wide so your plans fit perfectly with what I was thinking. I would just need to adjust for the size of the blower since it looks to be quite a bit bigger than yours and I need the air to exit on the side since the table will be against a wall.

@@dickeywalt You could blow the air down into the unused space beside the dust chute so it would exit on both sides. This is how I did my big table.

@@ODDBALLGALLERYKeithWilliams That sounds like a real good plan. I will have to look at measurements of the fan but I think that will work. Thanks.
