APDS needs to go through some armor (or modules) to generate schrapnels. That's why OB says at some point in the video that he needs to take front shots to get a lot of post-pen effects

exactly. Lots of things with high pen go through sides with minimal damage due to over pen. That is why you want to know where ammo is stored.

My person doctrine with APDS/AP is aim for the thickest plate you can reliably penetrate with crew behind unless you *know* for a fact you can make an ammo rack shot (like on the Tiger II turret bustle) Otherwise I like turret side shots, you almost always get either the breach on the gunner (often both) and can then decide how you wanna go about dealing with the rest of the tank. If you are unsure were to shoot just go ahead and boop them on the nose first, while they are dealing with that you have about a minute to figure out where you wanna shoot.

Side note: do NOT underestimate the Pz III at 6.0-7.0. In a good flank, the long 5 cm gun can absolutely demolish enemy vehicles. If you can get behind a T-10 the 5 cm can pen the nape of of its turret ring. I would highly recommend giving it a go at higher BRs because it’s a little monster. M18’s and M36’s are like candy to the 5 cm HE shell.

The Charioteer at 6.3 is cracked. I instantly fell in love with it in one of the first matches I played after unlocking the APDS, bullied 2 Mauses in one game. I believe it can lolpen a Tiger II/Jagdtiger as well, though on the Tiger II I still prefer the turret shot since it is a guaranteed gunner/breach and almost guaranteed ammorack and it is fair more reliable penning the turret face of the H compared to the US long 90mm or the Soviet 100/122mms which tend to get snagged on the mantlet or some other nonsense, were as the little APDS sneaks through and usually enters the Tiger into the turret toss Olympics.

Just spaded the Conway recently and imo it survived reasonably well as long it's treated reasonably carefully. I actually think most players don't distinguish it with the doombarn and just think they can hit it anywhere and make it explode but 6.7 arcade and 7.0 realistic is very much not an issue. Just needs to be used as a TD and no point using HESH as it's currently hot garbage.

Yoo odd you should definitely take a look at the Ikv 72 it has the same APHE shell as the Strv m/42 EH. It sits at 1.3 so you technically 1 shot everything and since you have -20 gun depression you can be a good sniper

hello oddbawz, so 2 things. 1. i dnot think iv ever seen you play any of the merkavas, but if you have played any of them it was probably a while ago, an so as a merkava enjoyer myself id really like to see someone else enjoy them. feel free to play any merkava you want but i personally recommend the mk.4 at 11.7. i know its at top tier and that may be a bit of a turn off but it is my favorite of the merkavas, it lookes nice and the aps on it has saved my life countless times 2. so super sonic jets have been in war thunder for a while now, ther are over a dosen different ones now. but how about we take it back to the roots and remember our origins, play the f-100d, the very first super sonic jet ever in war thunder. because of the addition of many other plane, weapons, and mechanics playing the f-100d may or may not be a living hell so look out
