VIRTUALLY UNKILLABLE PUMA IFV (BONUS NUKE) - TOO STRONG

The PUMA IFV in War Thunder is a German Light Tank with a 30mm cannon that fires tiny APFSDS rounds. Although it boasts and impressive 120mm of penetration, the thing that really makes this thing stand out is that it's practically invincible.
With NERA and ERA covering almost every inch of this vehicle, HEAT-FS and even TANDOM warheads will do little to no damage. The crew are also surrounded by the components of the engine and transmission meaning they are extremely hard to knock out.
Overall, this is one of the most absurd vehicles I've ever played in WT. You can just W key your way to success! Awesome!

What's funny that it is still missing *even more* armor, lol. And most subsystems are still broken. It should be at least 10.3+ Funnily enough, with the right AMAP Armor inserts, it should be resistant to 120mm APFSDS over the frontal arc, at least thats what the manufacturer say, lol. Probably the only vehicle in the world that is currently better protected than the is T-14/T-15, lol. It is fucking nuts. I will just copy my list of whats broken from my comment under spookstons video, because i am not typing that again lol. Hopefully they fix this stuff and move it up. ost of it has been bug reported, as far as i am aware of. Here is the list: -2 layers of armor on the UFP are missing (Edit: Seems fixed now) -The frontal "exterior fuel tanks" are actually AMAP Armor inserts that can be taken out to lower weight for transport in a A400M -LFP is wrong -Sides are missing additional armor under the ERA and on the lower hull sides -The front corner boxes are also armor (not sure if ERA or passive) not 5mm structural steel -The back is missing armor (should be protected against russian 14.5mm) -Turret is missing NERA armor plates -CLARA ERA is missing its KE protection -CLARA ERA on the Puma is only triggered by EFPs and insensitve to other attacks(such as KE), so it should only explode when hit by HEAT (More sensitive CLARA exists but is not used) -Transmission is wrong, should be 6/6 not 10/5 -Reverse is wrong. It is not capped at -30kmh -Thermals are still wrong (i think ?) should be gen3 (the forums found the actual resolution+zoom and angle) -Commander optics is missing zoom -MUSS is broken, should provide 360° by 70° protection -MUSS directional auto smoke is missing -Helicopter warning is missing -PMC308 HETF should be KETF -FCS for the KETF Ammo is missing, (makes it act like proxy fuze, can Auto track & lead Helis) -Ammo feed is wrong. Should be 200 rounds contious feed, then reload from Hull ammo -Gun feed is wrong, it is open bolt double fed. There is no delay between ammo switching -Name is wrong, ffs. Should be "Spz. Puma" not "PUMA". Edits: updated / fixed some spelling

@@fabianhenrich4697 I wish :P I bet they have some cool stuff there. But no this is all publicly available info, as most of the subsystems can be bought seperatly to integrate in your own tank. The manufacturer literally offer you the data and spec sheets for download. And most of the armor info is from the ERA testing reports, industry articles written by the manufacturer or from pictures during production, maintanace or air lift, as you can get a clear look at the armor beneath the external stuff there. It is all on youtube.

i trued it in the test drive and its coax 30mm was insane enough to ammo rack the rear of a T10s turret and as a japan main i know it can ammo rack the side of an IS4 as you can with a Type 87 RCV. I think high tier germany just got mad OP

If they are going to put PUMA to 9.3 they should do the same to the BMP-2M witch has lot more going for that the PUMA. Less pen in the autocannon but has 8 1200mm penning tandem missles. Best tip: Use APFSDS from the front to take out the engine or if you get a side shot it will most likely kill all of its crew, I run T-72AV Turms T and this is my biggest enemy since I’m always out in matches against germany

Hey @OddBawz - I'm late to the party on VFW video, but is there any chance for you to endorse the suggestion of "final version" of VFW on the forums? There was historically a unit which was sent to italy to fight along flak trucks and it had the same gun as the flak truck. If gaijin made it as another event vehicle, or even better a premium, more people could have it. And for the record, I have VFW and it's glorious, but it's also something that teaches shooting in the game really well.

There are only Pumas and Begleits now, sometimes a lonely TAM. 8.3 is unplayable in every other nation than germany and this IFV is doing well even at 11.0... Tell me how no one thought this ifv which has more armor than any other ifv in game wouldnt have the best survivability of any ifv in game.

Im pretty sure the MUSS aps system is broken because normally the sensors on the puma would detect the ATGM and then the jammer above the commander's optic is supposed to swing around to face the ATGM without you having to turn the turret

I like it, but Type 89 is still much better, since you can also engage frontally because it has missiles. Similar pen on the gun and fire rate. They nerfed the turret speed though with this update :(
