I have two of these and they still work great! A bit discoloured but otherwise perfect. Similar to the Nokia 3310 in the indestructible aspect 😂

What a really neat restoration, and uploaded on my birthday! Brings back fond memories, thanks for this! What did you do to clean the boards and chips and such?
@OddTinkering5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Happy birthday I just blew the dust off with air gun. I don't trust my soldering skills yet to start re-soldering anything on that if it seems to work fine

Dude!!! I am going through insomnia the last two weeks. Found my GameBoy one (the last present of my beloved Grandmother before she passed away) the screen had a lot black lines, it was all dirty and I just followed every step of your tutorial, except the one with the chemical bath/boiling. The screen (I almost order a new one) is just perfect. I disassembled all part, used an old toothbrush for the hard plastic parts, dish soap for the silicone ones and some alcohol ethanol for the insisting dirt. Wow!!! I am so happy that it came back to life! Thanks for creating this! The only think I will look for now is the screen protection you replaced and (if there is) a module/adaptor that can take all Gameboy 1 games in one. Thank you again!

This is not major talent. Holy crap. You watch some tutorials on KZbin, you do the same. The only talent involved is being able to follow directions.
