Hey bud, any tip for an amateur? Got 0003 (short circuit at the board), after repairing E74 and 0102. Motherboard still have some flux over it (two hardware components are actually flooded by it). Cleaning it will solve anything?
2 жыл бұрын
@@StrangyENPP Hi, from what I remember, 0003 is a GPU error. You'd be best cleaning it all up and then seeing if the screws for the heatsink are on too tight (you can usually tell bc the motherboard will be flexing quite a bit). If that doesn't work, it may be that a GPU reball is required, which isn't the most beginner-friendly repair, but there are guides available.

Shame this one is fake. Wrong diagnostic code (0102, not 1023 which would be 1 red light and show an e75 error on screen) but also the sound the dvd drive makes when fixed is only heard on a benq drive, the red ringed unit has a Toshiba Samsung drive. The only way to swap out a drive is to either flash the dvd drive with a custom firmware containing the consoles dvd key or to mod the console to ignore the key.

I remember "fixing" my 360 when I was in middle school by replacing the thermal pads with a penny wrapped in electrical tape as well as replacing thermal paste, learned that from a youtube video at some point. I wasn't expecting anything permanent, but it ended up working for another ~8 months before the RROD popped up again.

That sounds dangerous.

Bro, the amount of times I had to take my 360 apart was ridiculous. My one had a dodgy disc laser that had to be readjusted every few weeks. Then I eventually had to do this exact fix for my rrod. What a console though.
