I find it quite interesting that they are technically rebooting the story but still keep some core aspects to Exodus. Namely, in Exodus, one of the things you had to do was calm angry and sad mudokens before they would listen, cure others of brew intake, guide BLIND ones around, and mostly, command them to do tasks to open the puzzles. However, *THE* most interesting thing to me is how Lorne mentioned that a "golden ending" this time involves *not killing any Sligs* . Will we see the plight of Abe and Alf's friend who was beaten to death because he wasn't cruel enough? Will we be able to possess Sligs but NOT blow them up when we relinquish control? It really looks promising.

this is... way, WAY darker than oddworld ever was. Usually it was dark, but in an over the top way (turning the workforce into snacks and sewing their eyes shut so they don't see what they dig up), but... well... seeing experiments ike this. It's.... more realistic, relatable. Even the body bags are unsettingly "real". Like, replace the mudokons with humans and that's something that might happen

The lab was named after their race and they have their own business group. They are pretty much money grubber as the Glukkon allright, but in medical field. A vykker also show up in Oddworld's Stranger Wrath game.

I don't think it is. At least not completely. I would guess that it's going to be partially some of Exodus, but with new environments and settings thrown in to give players a bit of new stuff. When you watch the trailer, it sort of looks like a weird insane asylum...although having said that I do recall now that in Abe's Exodus Mudokens had various emotions that played into the puzzle-solving aspect of the game. Was insanity a thing that Mudokens could suffer from in Abe's Exodus?

It's what Exoddus was SUPPOSED to be when it was originally conceived. They aren't remaking Exoddus as it was, they're making the game they wanted to make before, which is quite different from the one that ended up being released.

They've mentioned before that, due to time constraints, Exoddus had to be severely cut down on content to the point where it basically just feels like an expansion to pack Odyssey. Soulstorm is going to be what they originally wanted Exoddus to be, hence why it is going in this new, much darker direction.

If you watch the interview with Caddy, they had to rush Exodus. Oddysee had something like 3 years in development, Exodus had 9 months. As impressive as that is, it meant they couldn't deliver their full vision. Soulstorm ahould rectify that.
