I loved it, the only gripe I had was I wish they brought in and expanded the lore on the Vampire Killer. Sure we got the "morning star", but there was nothing about the lore behind it. I would've loved for them to link in Sarah from LOI when they mentioned Leon, and then when he found the morning star, talked about the legend of her soul being in the whip.

Not only that , Julius is the only one that defeated Dracula at his strongest and sealed for good , even as a middle-aged , he defeated pretenders of Dark Lords as well. Heck , a holding back middle-aged Julius destroyed an entire wing of Castlevania/Dracula's Castle with just one Grand Cross.

i waited 27 years to see a castlevania show worthy of the name and cried a lot when 28 years after playing my favorite game..Dracula's Curse (Contra also fave)... i got to listen to Bloody Tears at a show...when they entered the castle... i enjoyed every second of this show and some people say "why trevor versus death?"... to which a reply... HE IS THE BELMONT... this whole franchise is lifted on the shoulders of the Belmont lastname...

I am with you on all of this. This entire show had me screaming in delight. Hearing Bloody Tears was a symphony of glorious destruction that made my blood boil in the most delightful way... And then seeing this fight... Trevor Belmont Vs Death- I was in tears. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have felt watching a show and I wish I could get that "first watch" back. You just eat and hide!” At this Death seemed to wince slightly, raising itself up holding its scythe out before it, the curved blade gleaming in the moonlight cast down upon Dracula’s castle. “Is there a point to this?” It demanded, now sounding irritated. “Are you dictating your fucking obituary to me, Belmont?” Trevor walked forward until he was less than ten feet away from the precipice and came to a stop, set squarely before the specter with weapon in hand. “It's time to give this place back to people who know how to build things.” He said flatly, the wind bellowing around him blowing his hair and clothes about. “You and me? We’re just killers out of history. It's time for us to go.” There was a pause, the two of them staring at each other in silence. Then Death asked; “And who’s going to make me go?” The distaste in its voice dripped with scorn. “You? With your bit of string in your hand?” An ironic smile curled Trevor’s lip in response as he raised his chain whip and held it taut before his chest. “Probably not.” He admitted. “But lets just give this one last go….shall we?”

I don't think he was killed, Sir Gemain opened the corridor for him as he killed Death. I'm not entirely sure but knowing Sir Gemains control over the corridor probably placed him out of harm before the daggers spell could kill him, and then leaving him on a beach somewhere.

The absolutely most phenomenal finale to a show I think I've ever seen. It might even top ATLA's. Castlevania's ending had me on a string from about 3 episodes to the end, it really had me. And everything came together so beautifully, was executed so flawlessly. Don't know if I'll ever see a more satisfying ending again.

That show’s ending is one of the greatest parts of any story ever. And the buildup to it is perfect. From episode one you’re told how it’s gonna end. The only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.

Belmont was at his low point, Injured, tired... but he didn’t react to Death, he acted towards him, had the pieces fit together and even at his absolute lowest point, with only one arm not injured he managed to kill death, an elemental spirit, the first vampire to be ever born in this world... and he survived it. I really would love to see them all back in action... but in general I just hope this series in any way, no matter if sequel or prequel or whatever will continue... the writers have mad skill, the quality is amazing, I love it...

Finishing the show with the defeat of Death, an elemental being so powerful and old that he was worship as a god, and at the top at the Castle of Dracula was the best idea (that of a season 5 with Satan as antagonist, but it's not the Lord of Shadow timeline unfortunately)

Best to end at the top. At least this chapter, the stories were told and we can enjoy the series for that. If it drags on, there is a greater chance they'll Game of Thrones the later seasons. Plus there are so many other genres and stories that are just waiting for a good team to tell them. Look at India's mythology, their stories. And I've never seen any anime explore them.

I love how just... somber this music is. It's truly a final showdown track where the hero is sacrificing themselves so that their loved ones can live their lives in peace, which is what Trevor was doing. I was fully expecting him to die here, as that is what usually happens, and I was heartbroken.
