One who can tell a story while simultaneously proving information in such a way to allow the listener to immerse themselves into the characters thoughts and lives has rare talent. Presented, yet not forced. very well done. Helps to create insiteful conversation rather than heated debate

Beautifully done. You make Forrest's story so much more than just a treasure hunt. Where Forrest's writing brings a glimpse of his life wrapped up in hardship and humor, you move straight to the heartstrings of pain, pride, and purpose. I think Forrest would be proud of the work you have done to pay tribute to his Chase. Thank you for sharing all this.

Whoever the creator is, they move in mysterious ways. More often, they find the best and make them known. Always having a good influence and longevity. We are always forgiven; sorry does not always last a long time, if we can forgive ourselves. Thanks and take care of...

Speaking of new art forms! Your use of spoken word, sound effect, visuals and photography are brilliantly effective. Leaving despair to stand alone was powerful, and I’ve pondered this word often in my chase. Thank you for expanding on Forrest’s sentiments of Peggy waiting for him somewhere. Here’s my tongue-in-cheek critique: There’s no “d” in the “Peggy sense(d)...” slide. Perhaps intentional for a laugh? I enjoyed your treatment of the epilogue and the important illustration. This was a beautiful wade into deep waters and relevant to me personally. Much gratitude and well wishes your way!

To err is human--please forgive. I wish it were deliberate. No, it seems I have to include one glaring typo in all my videos. If I fixed them now, I would lose the ID at repost. All the links elsewhere would be dead. More trouble than it's worth. In my line of work, we have a remedy for this: "many eyes." Documents are passed around until you fix everything. And then you pass them around some more. Alas, the hazards of working alone. [deep breath] Thank you for kind words. There's a lot of heart in these last couple of chapters, and I'm glad that Forrest's message touched you.

Smell the Sunshine - I was truly joking and I have no critical comments but love that the typo was a “d”! Your videos are treasures and I struggle to express how much I enjoy and appreciate your work!

I didn't take it as critical. BTW, was "jaeger" part of your vocabulary growing up? A word people use regularly in your neck of the woods? I never heard it, and I don't hear it now.
@delysejaeger34664 жыл бұрын
Jaeger is my last name by marriage but not a name or word I heard growing up. My husband is from Victoria Tx. My first name is Delyse (the lease) - quite a combo to pronounce from the spelling! I think Jaeger is the original German.

In Flywater he is physically at the spot he wants to die when he writes the note to his wife waiting for him back home somewhere (West Yellowstone or Santa Fe). The reference is to the lover in I Have a Rendezvous with Death in which the blissful sleep is very much while alive and is a contrast or alternative to death in war. In Ode to Peggy Jean his shadow is his spirit, he is talking about joining his wife in heaven. The sparrow is green spring or rebirth and ancient refers to humanity while secrets and "why is it I cannot go" might refer to a bird that is secretive i.e. hiding (many sparrows are known to be secretive, the only green sparrow among them is called the Olive sparrow). Note the line is a call and answer to the why is it that I must go line in the poem, in other words here is the answer: he needs to hide the treasure before he is too close to death (raven) and too weak. In the epilogue the illustratiin is not a comment about the environment at all, he is wistfully looking yp at father the dove resting in peace who told him to grab every banana so he cut down all the trees so it is a "did I do okay Dad?" thing going on there.

I would love to see someone put a small treasure in all 50 states in a puzzle book with the one stipulation that the finder has to be a resident of that State! Searchers would not have to drive as far and the prize could only be obtained by showing your solve and proof of residency. No big prizes as they bring on lawsuits.
