Never fully extended your leg when putting pressure into the ground, keep that knee 90 degrees. It’s the healthiest and most efficient way to play. You see when the injury happen the leg was extended.

When he planted then bounced that was his body nerves reaction ti the tear in his knee. You can tell from the back angle video that when he planted and you see his foot slip, in that moment you can see the stress put on his knee. Which his why his body reacted and he jumped up forgetting about that tackle and focussing on the extreme pain that just shocked his body like a taser...plus with how he was grabbing his knees, looks like a serious knee ligAment tear. ..but then again you never know... could still aslo be ankle as well. Players favor theyre legs different ways during injuires..but to me its either serious knee sprain or knee ligament tear. ACL likely based on where the stress was out on knee and how he planted...but never know, could also be the LCL or Meniscus . Cant see the MCL being torn on this one but i wish there was more angles of the moment

I tore my ACL back in 2014 and boy did it hurt like a mother. You instantly feel zero support and just non-stop pain for 5-10 minutes. Luckily, 100% recovery after surgery is possible a year later. Just sucks because it will feel like a long recovery with therapy.

Per Ian Rapoport, minutes ago: Beckham "feared to have suffered a serious injury by inside team source" will have an MRI tomorrow to tell the full story, but that the “early indications aren’t good.” It’s unclear what exactly the injury is, but most often when it’s something serious like an ACL for example the team knows right away from physical exams and the MRI is only for confirmation.

I’m assuming he hyperextended it because his knee was injured while straight, normally -CL tears happen from twisting your knee. I’d say out about a month, maybe more depending on severity. Frame by frame, it looks like a textbook ACL tear, maybe a minor MCL sprain, with his knee twisting inwards. This is typically the sort of position that Ski runners tear their ACL.
