Work looked great. I think some clients don't understand what's involved. You're a craftsman and they don't understand that it's you're work, you finished it the way you saw it should be. Nothing is more permanent than concrete. If they don't like what you did, then they can hire someone else next time. I think sometimes clients think just because you are working for them and that means that they can get exactly what they want. This is not how it works.

I did concrete for years . Before becoming a union pipefitter welder . And you had a great crew on this job. You are 100 percent correct about the joint down the middle. All concrete cracks . Joints are a control joint to force the crack in that location. And you're right again about a light broom finish being for safety. The whole job looked absolutely beautiful. And yes, I would have loved to have a slab like that at my house. What I didn't like when I was a finisher was a salt finish. Concrete to me looks so beautiful with a stamp and light brush . But with salt finish, it looks like a bunch of little sand traps. Great job, sir . Much respect.

I don't know why this popped up in my recommendations, but I enjoyed it. My dad did concrete and flagstone work in the 90s. I'd help him on some jobs as a kid and teen. The concrete slabs we poured were very basic compared to what you guys did here. All we did were basic joints and end-to-end broom texturing, even for patios. I really like the esthetics and functionality of the stamping. The same goes for the way you placed the joints. The broom-textured border was also a necessary and pleasing touch. This patio is an art piece. I'd be very happy with it. If anything, I'd want the stamping to be more pronounced, as pronounced as possible without causing furniture to wobble too much. That's just me, though. Everyone is different.

I recently retired as a Supt. for a Commercial General contractor for 33 years. Have finished and been around a lot of concrete. Finished product looked very nice. The joint cutting down the middle absolutely necessary. Without as you said it would crack with no control and would wander. The joint will still most likely crack there but the joint will control it's path and conceal it. I've had clients that you just couldn't satisfy. I feel you on the extra work making changes with no appreciation or even a "Thank You". Diminishes motivation and incentive to want to give the client a premium job when they are unruly difficult. Won't talk about gender other than to say a man wouldn't care as much IMHO. I feel your slump was correct for the intense detail required after placement. Manpower was sufficient for jointing/stamping. Nice consistent brooming also. The only advice maybe that might have helped some is the use of mock-ups. That way you have what you need to produce onsite. I realize it is time, effort and money however the size of the job may benefit you and the client. One thing that I learned over the years is a client will only remember the bad jobs. You can knock it out of the park 100 out of 99. The one that got away is what they remember. Go figure. @@jimjogger306 I was able to learn how to finish concrete after two or three pours. Yeah it takes skill. But it’s definitely not the highest skilled jobs in construction lol.

If I had concreting done at my house and it turned out as good as this, I would be over the moon. Great job.

Absolutely perfect... I'd be over the moon with a job like that! Just you do whats right with your experience and ignore the owners nonsense

I love it. The whole thing. The whole design. The borders and the stamp. If it was mine I’d probly stain it . Brown on the stamped sections for sure maybe all of it. I love concrete that’s stamped and stain to look like old weathered leather. Maybe even throw in a few rusted steel pieces here and there . Great job boys. You’re artists

So much fun doing an install for a customer that doesn't understand the rules of job but tries to outsmart you or blame you for stuff. Even more fun is when someone who isn't even part of the job comes over and tries to micromanage the way you dispose of trash, and you are already doing exactly what they want you to do.

That looks amazing. Great work. The problem is these pretentious home owners that don’t look at things for their beauty. They look at things for their imperfections. And when you do that in anything in life you’ll always find it. That’s great work guys.

I'm an old stamper and epoxy floor guy. In my experience anytime the customer suggested a change, I would explain there would be an upcharge and write out a separate change order. Otherwise, you will get these types who will potentially change everything. Sometimes, they just don't know just how little they know or what it is that they're asking. I enjoyed watching your videos. You guys did a great job.

Coming from someone who has done this, all lines are straight and very clean, and the pattern looks even, amazing job the home owner clearly hasn't a clue how much work has gone into those lines to make sure all margins line up 👍

You did a good job! I can understand from their perspective the line down the middle does not match the big corner spot. But you helped them understand why + brushing the edges they will appreciate in winter. They might of just been having a bad day. I think it's pretty cool even with that type of pressure you still delivered professional result
