The boy with the glasses had a realization when he looked at his dad's picture, and correlating with his grandparents, and that his dad will get older and eventually die. This is kind of a sad segment, in which the kids realize that as they get older, so does their parents... Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
@shayshawbear3865 Жыл бұрын
I had the same thoughts when I was a kid. I came to the realization at a really young age that my parents were gonna die one day, probably when I was in kindergarten or 1st grade. I used to have constant breakdowns as a kid just thinking about what was going to happen to my parents, but I never told them because I was a very reserved kid and didn't want my parents to worry about me. I've gotten over it thankfully, but the thought still crossed my mind every once in a while.

The two younger kids remind me of my childhood, I remember crying when I realised my parents were going to grow old and die someday. It's just such a pure innocent expression of love, a kid crying cause they never want their loving parents to be gone.

Because when I was young like 8 I was already thinking about that,like me moving away to college or seeing my parents get old and never seeing them i know they sound weird but those thoughts made me sad .I would cry because of that.And sometimes I still have those thoughts but I tell myself "That if you become sad, you won't accomplish anything" But I know my parents want me to do more and more but I just wish I could stay with them forever. If you dont understand,what I'm trying is that I always want to be close to my parents no matter what. Am I the only one.......... no.......... ok

I lost my mom a month ago. For all of my 36 years of life I´ve feared that moment and of course, when it came, it was really painful. But what helped me heal quicker was the fact that I never left her alone. I tried to make her happy throughout her last 2 months of life by caressing her, telling her how beautyful she was, trying to ease her pain, letting her see her grand daughters, etc. She had a stroke 2 months before her death and she was really angry at everyone. She couldnt speak properly but I tried to help her, I told her "I love you" and she said "I don´t !". She was really mad at her weakened body. The day after that she had complications that sent her to the ICU for a week. It was the most painful week of my life. Me constantly thinking that her last words would be that she didn´t love me. I asked and even screamed to god to please have another chance with her. A week later she was fine, happy, smiling. I showed her pictures and videos of her grand daughters. For a whole month and half I made sure she was comfortable and tried to find as many specialists for her to save her. Unfortunately she was too weak and died at the hospital. But I'm glad that our last conversation was "mom, my princess, you´re so beautiful, I love you more than anything in the world" and she said "I love you too darling".

I left my house in my early 20s to live abroad. I spent almost 10 years away from home, visiting every 2 years. One day a friend, who was also a foreigner, told me: the worst part of going back home after so long is seeing your parents get older. That struck me hard and made me realize I needed to spend time with them. So as soon as I had the chance, i went back to live with them again even though I'm in my 30s already, but I don't care. As I don't have kids on my own yet, I want to spent as much quality time as I can with them before they're gone, because they have been the best parents I could ask for.

Seeing these kids, made me remember how I used to love my parents back then. As I grew older, the weight of their expectation started to feel burdening. My expectations of them were shattered one by one, too. Today, they're more of an example of what I don't want to become. Looking back at how I used to adore them like these kids, makes me sad.
