Eeerrrrmmm.... you could surround LED's with hot glue and put them into the gauntlets slits whilst there hot and put the gauntlet in the freezer so it dosnt spread out and make a mess

You can use thinner to get to weaken contact cement to take two pieces of foam apart. It won’t rip the foam, it makes things a bit easier.
