Odin VS Beerus (Marvel Comics vs Dragon Ball Super)

The ravenous cat, Beerus, was first introduced during 2013's Battle of Gods film, but his true ferocity in the world of Dragon Ball wasn't truly unveiled until Dragon Ball Super, where even after several powerups and training boosts, Goku & Vegeta were still leagues below the purple feline. The God of Destruction Beerus is not only seen as one of the most powerful, if not THE most powerful Hakaishin around, but he also has a wide array of abilities such as wiping out souls, being immune to gag characters, and also knows of the Ultra Instinct technique! However, how would he fare up against one of his rivals within the Marvel Universe, the king of Asgard, Odin? Although the matchup might not seem fair at first, Odin has fearsome abilities such as being able to manipulate time, space, minds, and can even utilize magic! If these two titans were to face off, who would win? I go over feats, scaling, statements, and other information to determine which one would come out on top! When you take his telepathy, magic, and reality warping into account, I would say Odin wins. If it was a mostly physical fight, I’d say they’re roughly equals. But Odin doesn’t usually rely on his physical abilities against high tier opponents, and would most likely use his magical and cosmic abilities to win. They’re both easily universal level beings, so it could go either way, but my vote goes to Odin.

Toppo distorted the entire world of void with his exploding hakai ball. The world of void was stated to be endless many times and Toppo one shotted it while holding back so as not to kill Frieza. Now imagine what Beerus can do at his peak if you factor in that Toppo was a trainee GoD while Beerus is an ancient Top tier if not the most powerful GoD. Anytime he over exerts the Odinforce or uses it for too long he must enter the Odin sleep to replenish it. Without naming my opinion on who'd win, I will add a few of my own addendums: -hax resistance is not hax immunity. For example within Dragonball, Beerus could probably break through the time-skip attacks, but that doesn't mean they'd gloss over him without issue, nor would other stronger time-manipulators be unable to hurt him. -the same goes for gag resistance. Arale is kind of a weird person anyways to describe her gag powers, but just because a different character only says that stuff wouldn't work, doesn't mean that character is forever immune to joke writing or characters. And no, I'm not referring to Saitama here. -Scaling Beerus' speed to Whis is weird in itself, because Whis is far stronger and faster than Beerus. Also, scaling travel speed to combat speed? Interesting, I guess Death Battle can do that now without issue.

I haven’t seen it discussed, but have always wondered how the training the dragon ball characters do would impact matchups. In dragon ball, Goku and Vegeta are constantly training and battling. They are full time warriors. While most marvel and dc characters fight when needed, but are not solely focused on training. Wouldn’t that give DB an advantage in terms of experience? Especially with Goku who is constantly learning new techniques from others. The experience could give DB an advantage with the ability to strategize and adapt quicker. You see this in other combat sports where a more athletic fighter loses to a fighter with more experience and a better strategy.

Alot of the points are pretty speculative. The fact Odin can crack the universe open with a single punch when not really trying is enough for me to give this to him. Yes, I know Berus can destroy planets with a sneeze, but that's literally nothing compared to what Odin's shown in the comics, where if he ever does get defeated, it's nearly always him holding back and not really trying. The fact Odin can warp reality with a thought and essentially rewrite the entire biology of Beerus or even erase Beerus' body, mind, and soul from reality is yet another terrifying feat about him.

Buddy , the basic Pokemons are generally the weak ones, however Legendary Pokemons like Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza are pretty powerful. For instance the battle between Groudon and Kyogre was threatening to destroy the planet then Rayquaza comes in and breaks up the fight meaning Rayquaza news a strong or stronger and Groudon and Rayquaza who were at least Planet Busters and this is without Mega and Primal form. And for Hoopa Unbound he is pretty durable he's able to take hits from multiple legendaries at once. So I wouldn't necessarily say all Pokemon are weak mainly the non legendary Pokemon.

Its interesting on how 3 years later , Beerus is even stronger than most thought. Beerus > UI Goku/Trainee Angel tier thus putting him far above full power Moro. Full power moro literally had the life energies of countless planets. As we have seen in DB and other comics, the life energy from just a planet or two could give one a crazy cosmic boost of energy. (Examples Spirit bomb, Galactus etc) Planets with exceptional energy was planets like New namek and others. In marvel, the special planets would be examples of planets with exceptional energy which boosted Galactus power far more than a normal planet of life energy. Beerus also has the power of Ultra Ego which he can use to a much better extent than what Vegeta can do with it. This means Beerus body can handle more direct attacks than Vegeta and would thus give Beerus a greater energy increase from every hit.
