@@hunterbiden7890 I disagree. Most normal people. Almost all, if they have a good sense of humor (so, our premise is they recognize funny) they will also comprehend how to be funny or what would be funny things to say. In this case, more importantly what not to do and say. This is why Erock will actually know when he's bombed and really most guests (not comedians) but if they find the show funny will also be a guest that knows when to not interrupt and when to try and add or feed a setup or an angle for the pros to play on or when to get out of the way. Comprehension. Opie was having brain damage with the 'comprehension' part where he'd recognize Patrice, Aunt and Jimmy were on some huge roll, zingers, one-ups, what-ifs and square in the middle would suddenly belch and burp into the mic. One could argue that Brakemaster Opie actually did comprehend what was funny but then you have to accept Opie was evil, malicious and a saboteur of nasty proportions. O&A are like brothers who fought and had a serious falling out and now they bad mouth eachother to other people to make it seem like they're not the A-hole who's ignoring their brother for childish reasons.

They both probably have a secret burner phone where they text each other shit sweet nothings as they fall asleep.

I was listening to one radio bit with Patrice, and they were commenting on this feminists book, making fun of it, and the author feminist lady called in, and Patrice was having a serious conversation with her trying to make her see things his way, and he was making some head-room, and she was actually starting to listen to him, and Opie just randomly goes "CUUUUUUUNNNNTTT" or something like that, in the middle of the conversation, and she immediately hung up. That is the moment i realized Opie was a shitty person. Patrice was kind of upset cause he was trying to seriously get the lady to change her opinion with some good facts. Realllly lame of opie, and it wasnt even funny. Opie was the only one that thought it was funny... lmao

Opie's idea of funny is destroying other people.

Was this the one where Jimmy said "Chiclet teeth"? Cause holy fuck lol. i have never seen a more interesting dynamic or better orchestration of fucking with someone on radio. Patrice and Jim were so excellent.

Opie is a narcissist and a terrible human being.

@virginnocence yes it was that one Jim was trolling her but opie ruined it It was awkward because they wanted to keep talking to the lady but opie ruined it and they all went quiet

Says a lot about the type of guy opie was that just about anyone that ever worked on the show doesn't fuck with him anymore

While O&A were still together, whenever someone said Opie want funny, the argument was made that he was the "radio guy" and kept things on track. But now that he's been on his own for years, i don't know that was ever the case, he barely seems to be able to run a coherent show, he's all over the place

I NEVER understood a single interesting quality about Opie or how he possibly got on a radio show? He wasn't funny, he wasn't charismatic or insightful... there was nothing, while Jimmie and Anthony carried the entire show.

1) He had the presence of mind to hire Anthony way back when 2) he’s no longer on the radio
