I have a dual battery hook-up on my 04 tj. Earlier this year I replaced both my batteries (deep cycle) after six years, one went bad. I have the yellow top Optima batteries that are deep cycle. Also up graded all battery cables with 1/0 welding cables. Installed military grade battery clamps (4) and I made all other ends with 1/2" copper tubing. I also attached multiple ground cables, to the frame, engine block and fire wall. Upgraded the alternator from a stock unit to one that puts out 200 amps. With all the gear that we put on the electrical system (lights, winch, CB, and stereo) I like the deep-cycle batteries that can be charged over and over with little damage and they last longer. When we start to add to the demand of electrical system with little consideration to what the stock system can handle we start to wear out components and at times they stop working when we're out on the trail and that's a real drag when your out in the middle of no where, NC! One last thing...we as off roaders should never have corrosion on our battery!

@@RubiKidd06 good! You have to remember that the car companies only do the minimum to hold down cost. When you look at a wielding cable, look at all the copper wires that are part of the cable (more of them). Makes them more flexible. Also found out that electricity flows on the outside of a wire. Reason why they are round.

Cable are in pretty good condition but we will definitely check new cables out.

Off topic but I've been following your channel for a while and I have a couple questions. I have an 04 wrangler that's currently lifted with a short arm kit around 4-5". Your videos have gotten me set on the Rusty's long arm upgrade kit. While I'm happy with my current riding shocks I plan on going to your setup with the fox 2.0 as well. My big question is how did the long arms improve ride quality over a short arm?

The off-road trailing or on the dunes is where you would see the biggest difference. We enjoy them and love how durable they are to. Anything past 3”s and you would really appreciate them. If the Jeep never leaves pavement it’s probably not worth it. Hopefully this answers your questions.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can answer this question. Will a 2017 nsg370 fit a 2008 3.8v6? I know that in theory, the transmission is the same. I don’t know if the bell housing is the same because a 2017 nsg370 mates with the 3.6
