Odyssey - Ancient History Documentaries

Күн бұрын

For the better part of 400 years people have searched the deep canyons & towering ice peaks of these mist-covered cloud forests trying to locate the lost cities of the Inca. They were all after one thing; gold. Any gold would do but there was one thing desired above all others, the Great Golden Disc of the Sun. The most sacred of all Inca relics. The Inca Holy Grail. It is in search of this Holy Grail that David Adams goes on his journey to Puncuyoc, sacred Sister City of Machu Picchu; the city sought but never found by Hiram Bingham.
Odyssey is your journey into the world of Ancient History; from the dawn of Mesopotamia to the fall of Rome. We'll be bringing you only the best documentaries that journey into the mysteries and ruins of worlds long lost.

Maybe since they knew the Spanish were after anything gold and it was a very sacred object to them, they buried it or dropped in one of the many cave pools used for rebirth rituals.

Yes probably melted down... Spanish didn`t care about its significance; they never did. They were not archaeologists. They destrouyed anything pagan to them in Peru., even the Inca manuscripts. They also probably stripped all the sites cos the sites were problby covered in gold also...That is why some of the sites dont make any sense cos just bare stones but make sense if covered in gold with gold statues in the niches etc. Only other poassibility that it is at the bottom of the ocean somewhere in a Spanish wreck. There is a Spanisj galleon captured by the French at the bottom of the St. Lawrence River mud. Location unknown. Reported being there in the French archives by Biggar and Goodwin

I have been to these places and, since I have friends in Peru that I visit, I'll be going back. All I can say is plan for the altitude! I had hiked volcanoes in Costa Rica and very high peaks in Europe. But Cusco kicked my ass and I felt drunk the entire time I was there. Drank a lot of coca tea and then hallucinated pretty things every time I closed my eyes. Of course, it was 4 months after major surgery (at age 53). But what the heck, I'll be trying it again, but this time with some Diamox tablets.

@@richardhowe5583 No. You can drink a quart of it and still pass a drug test. It takes a lot of processing to make cocaine. It was a combo of the altitude and the coca tea, and I suspect also the local herb sorojchi, widely sold in pharmacies. None of those should make a person high, but for whatever reason I got pretty visions.

The sun disk...the light disk...the energy disk. It's scattered on each continent.... The Mayan disk is united with dream catcher wiring... There are 5 disks in total... Each creating a type of energy and merged to one . It's like a rope made of a variety of energies... To me , the Mayan disk looks like microchips and resistors and other electronics. To me , the dream catcher is a disk of wiring sequence... Needs brushes for magnetics... Needs a. Crank and ratio system . Create it to be self eternally run... Creates it's own energy to power itself . No batteries. No plugs . Free energy.

@nevyen149
@nevyen149 3 жыл бұрын
@@themobseat That's basically incorrect. North and South America had some cities which were as big or bigger than any European city of the same time period. When a dirty Hernan Cortes and his rabble entered the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan on November 8th, 1519...the city had a population of at least 200,000...5 times the size of London, and they had a water system as good as any the Romans ever built, and twice daily trash collection. The Maya had a mathematical and astronomical knowledge which out classed that of Europe of the same age, and many cultures in the New World had expertise in monumental stone architecture. Metal work in gold alloys, and some copper work show they had categorically moved past the stone age, and the complexity of societies in the New World show they were not living a "primitive existence". The story of sub-Saharan Africa has many similarities to the New World, in that there were complex societies, who made it to the level of producing iron...again, significantly past the "stone age", but were decimated by later contact with European colonialist and the diseases they spread.

You know the Spanish have still not to this day, publicly apologised to the Inca or Mayan peoples for their intentional destruction, and seem to still hold Cortez up with admiration, when in reality his reputation should be looked at critically and scornfully, inside Spain. Even when suggested to discuss it at all, Spanish Prime Ministers have either sloughed it off as unimportant, or literally say "too bad, we are proud of our history". Does Spain still see a positive in being a colonial, tyrannical, murderous, thieving, genocidal empire? Seems to be so. Their economic strength today is grounded on this long history of simple, literal theft. Their power today is literally based on the gold they stole from others, which they could only take if they utterly destroyed empires older than themselves, and the Spanish as a society will not take responsibility for that in any way. All this happened in the 1500's, when people were moderately aware that this kind of behaviour was morally wrong, not in Alexander the Great, Caesarian or Chingis Khan ancient history days when such actions were not thought of as negative ... Spain knew better, but did it anyway. Its time for them to be called out and challenged on their history. Other empires of old have done so around the world, Its Spains turn.

LIDAR Elizabeth D > Thanks for sharing. Lidar is a method for determining ranges by targeting an object with a laser and measuring the time for the reflected light to return to the receiver. Lidar can also be used to make digital 3-D representations of areas on the earth's surface and ocean bottom, due to differences in laser return times, and by varying laser wavelengths. It has terrestrial, airborne, and mobile applications.

The Inca Empire was started by the Viking, Inka, whose descendants came from Atland. A cataclysm destroyed their island in the Atlantic Ocean and the righteous survivors from Atland settled in northern Europe. Their lands were invaded, and they sailed away in two groups. One group was lead by Neff Teunis (Neptune) who became a god of the Mediterranean. The other group sailed to South America under the lead of Inka. These sea kings were the descendants of Atlanteans and were worshipped as gods. They were real people. Read Oera Linda.

Vikings were not atlantian's and have no lines to the Inca. Talk to them they know their history, we Maori of Aotearoa have long lost ties with the peoples of Peru. Some of us have bothered to learn our history and our forefathers journeys through life and I once believed the indoctrinated teachings of Whiteman until I found out they don't know nothing and that most of their learnings were gathered from the knowledge of other races. It is also good to note that whitemans strength and power is derived from the blood, sweat and tears of other races, who have been raped, pillaged and plundered by a race who use a god to destroy indigenous races and yet can't even live by their gods own teaching

In that context you are correct my friend. As you know we fought two world wars and both times it was against the Germans. And as you know the Germanic tribe AR the smartest people on earth. Thank goodness for their bad leadership both times and now. As we know one day America will fall like the rest of the superpowers in the past unless the world is destroyed by a asteroid or some other horrible thing like a nuclear war. I hate war and Implements of War but at this time weapons are a must. I am hoping that an alien super race will appear and neutralize all of the weapons in the world. But then probably people will start fighting with clubs again. I am in my late sixties and I have come to believe that the human race is just plain stupid. I have moved to the Philippines to live out my life with a beautiful Filipino wife more than half my age so I guess I fall into the stupid human category but I plan on dying with a smile on my face and a Heart full of happiness and love. I hope you are happy and healthy and successful in all of your endeavors.
