Andrew Schultz is the reason why we have to stop inviting others into our culture. He came up off of Black culture and turns around and disrespects us in everything he does. I love a joke, and jokes that skirt the line, but he’s gotten way too comfortable in making racist and sexist jokes that go past “the line.” It makes me side-eye Black men that even associate themselves with him.

I have watched Flagrant for years, and yes, Andrew and even Akash were very edgy comedians, but for the past 2 years, they have become way too edgy, crossing the very sexist, racist and crazy conspiracies lines. Plus, when Andrew said that he supports Trump because Trump is "anti-establishement," I know homeboy had lost the plot.

I agree with you 100%, Rachel. Andrew Shulz is a BIG problem. I used to watch him, Charlemagne, and also Flagrant, and I noted the way he approached issues about black women. I was like, Wait a minute. Even joking about the black female assistant on one of the podcasts incessantly. I had to stop watching. Charlemagne never thoroughly checked them. He laughed along with him when I clearly could see Shulz's innate bias. It's his truth disguised as comedy. Alex is another story, he is right along with Shulz. Shulz is so smug about James and Fuhad, as if he has accomplished something.

Yeah, Charla should have checked him on this last Brilliant Idiots episode. I think at the time of recording he may not have realized this was something that should be addressed on air instead of just in private, or more cynically, he may be waiting to see how much it will continue to snowball. I must say though, I have enjoyed the way Charla has been blasting Trump and Schulz's support of him with no reservations the past few weeks. Andrew has clearly been uncomfortable with it and he still DGAF and keeps going in. lol

I think Andrew schulz's motto is there are no sacred cows....they make fun of everybody. I really don't watch them...but compared to other male focused content...they are the least offensive. In some bizarre way they are deprogramming dudes away from left/right tribalism. They appear flagrant...but have a moderate slightly left leaning political bias. They are enemies of fresh and fit. Talking about cancelling them... they are a tool for black entertainers to expand their audience. And they are not really going in on black women like 99% of all other male focused content (redpill). Michael Eric Dyson has a history of predatory behavior on college campuses. Calling it a “cheeky message” and laughing is really gross. Stony Brook University professor Crystal Fleming separately alleged to the Voice and publicly on Twitter that Dyson had sexually harassed her when she was a graduate student at Harvard University and he was a professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Dyson was a member of UPenn’s faculty between 2002 and 2007. In an Oct. 17, 2017, Twitter thread, Fleming recounts that she allegedly met with Dyson to discuss her research. She posted that Dyson flirted with her during their in-person meet-up and that his behavior was “contemptible.” Fleming said in an email to The Hustler that she was not interested in speaking further about this matter. “I remember the feeling of disappointment and even shame as the realization of why he asked to meet dawned on me. It just blew my mind that a ‘famous’ married professor would so brazenly proposition me - a grad student several decades his junior and that he would use ‘interest in my work’ as a pretense for making an unambiguous, and unwanted, sexual advance,” Fleming’s tweets read. “His responses, though, made it clear that any ‘career help’ he would have provided would have been conditioned on my sexual subordination.”

I've watched both Brilliant Idiots and Flagrant for years and it was slowly but surely losing me as a viewer until Schulz's recent comments about this dust up. Schulz lost me with him mispronouncing Kamala's name and acting as if no one likes her (meaning no yt man) and she is not deserving of her title. And we know he's all in for Trump. It's based plainly in racism and misogyny. Charlemagne goes right along with it until recently. It's not that black women can't take jokes...we can but it's about valuing us as human beings to not constantly be the butt of the jokes all the time.

You are taking it to literal at the end of the day if you taking shots at everyone how is that bad. I know Rachel said black women get it the most on that pod. That’s cap tho it’s actually Jews, all women then Indians and the list continues. This whole problematic narrative is tired I’m sorry. If he said something wild and disrespectful to a BW face I got your back a thousand percent but a mid joke naw fam. Also the apology was funny because they could have ignored it an moved on.

No one is “wired” to make inappropriate comments to their colleagues or to be sexually aggressive in any way. It’s just that we live in a patriarchy that allows, encourages & even rewards that type of behavior from men regardless of how it affects the women around them. Dyson is a well known flirt and even hit on me and multiple other students when we were attending a university he frequently spoke at years ago. He has an easily verifiable track record 🙃

I am really happy that Rachel checked Van on Alexx Media. He was laughing and actively participating in the spectacle that Andrew was putting on. While Andrew did his racist and uninformed remarks on Black women, Alexx cackled at the remarks (then and in the apology video). Van tries to double down on Alexx being a stand-up or good guy and Rachel clocked that so eloquently.

I remember Van’s podcast The Green Pill and he had a Black actor on his show who was describing how dating Black women and how they tend to be in dating. Before he could even insinuate anything negative, Van made it crystal clear - we uplift Black women over here. He showed respect to his guest but drew the line when it came to Black women. Much love to the men who are naturally unapologetic about protecting Black women.

Van I’m such a fan of yours ….i love your passion of protecting the black community. I didn’t see a light of disgust in your eyes or your demeanor. I know you want to protect black women…. But do you not see the harm Andrew Shultz puts out there. His whole comedy act is talking to his audience and shooting out the worst racist stereotypes especially about blacks. He is a racist hiding behind his corny comedy.

I’ve been supporting you since TMZ but you clearly are not capable of criticizing Charlemagne, Andrew, and Adam 22, or Diddy. What a weird creepy group dudes for you to be uncomfortable criticizing.
