The first two albums are masterpieces, shayley had such a huge influence on the maturity / creative direction they started going in. You all should check out his band dayshell! He just put out an album with Joey Sturgis

Saw them on their very first run as a band, hours before the show i ran into AC at a record store in the area and i was wearing an acacia strain icee bootleg that said "stay cold" on the back and he went off about how at the time TAS was his favorite band, ended up kicking it with him all day, he wanted that shirt off my back, i thought it was ironic and funny im trading band merch to another band lol bro gave me every single piece of their original merch lineup, they only had 3 songs to play in their set, as it was before the debut album released, they were such a vibe honestly just fun dudes to be around

i can personally say that in the video of Jax, Austin and Valentino interview. that was done at there second show ever in Whittier California at a Chinese restaurant turn into two stages called THE GREEN TURTLE. I'm 100% sure because i was there and i watch that show. the headliner was THE WORD ALIVE and the other bands following was of course OF MICE AND MEN, CONFIDE, THIS ROMANTIC TRAGEDY and a couple other ones. Their very first show was in Bakersfield CA. the second vocalist was cutting it and they found Shayley right after. its been such a long time but i remember watching these guys grow.
@nomustardplease7 ай бұрын
adding- myspace was my jam to find my music and how i followed the road of the rise of this band. from finding ATTACK! ATTACK! and finding out that their vocalist left to build OF MICE AND MEN. I remember watching all their video blogs on their growth. also to add for part 2 of the band. from what i remember of Jax leaving is because he knew that Austin was coming back to the band. And this is just from my memories of what i heard. Austin got married to Jax's ex. So there was was tension between them for sure

I agree a band is not the same band when the founding members leave. It's just they have legal rights to use the name is all. I feel like it's marketing and money behind keeping the name to further sales of existing records not sure how all that works actually just assuming. Anyways I think it's super wack to have a band with no original members
