Thanks for the deep dive. I know some of the MySpace era bands you talk about don’t have much available info in terms of bio’s, behind the music, or details about them posted publicly in general aside from what they choose to post themselves. I can tell you are a ride or die fan who has been following these artists closely for years, which is a rare niche that I’m glad you’re having success with. It’s nice to learn about the bands I grew up listening to. Many Kudo from Idaho. Would love a “the faceless” vid :) I once asked them on a MySpace message if my deathcore band was good, and they only replied “NARF”.

I love infants first album. And I like them even with their new stuff. With that said, because of them this new trend of post deathcore like Lorna doing vocal Olympics, not having actual breakdowns, etc mostly stems from bands wanting to emulate, one up, or sound like them 😞 only infant could do it and still keep the essence of deathcore.

don't know if anybody else has noticed this, but me and a few other people have. there seems to be new restrictions on IA's music on spotify. usually when you search a song on spotify, it allows you to play it and autogenerates a playlist for the song. well, not for IA anymore! if i search a song of their's, there is no autogenerated playlist, and you can't play the song. you have to go to IA's page or add them to your own playlist to listen to them

IA has always been one of ny favourite bands. Not only for the absolute comedy of the music videos (😂) but also for the absolute demon like vocals from Watson and Dickie. No matter what happens to them in the future, I'll always respect where yhey came from and what they have become. IA has definitely changed the course of technical death metal and deathcore music all together. I'm also a huge Lorna Shore fan so I absolutely love deathcore and therefore i checked these guys out in 2013 and i haven't regretted it since 🤟🤘 (and the Pray for Plagues cover music video will always make me respect them more from the absolute weirdness of it)
