I love how the trumpet player tears it up on the solo for Little Talks, and then gets all bashful when she hears the response. It's adorable.

I think that if an English band had a go at these songs, they wouldn't sound half as good. That Icelandic tinge just makes it sound so much better

***** Well I believe that it's Nanna's accent that is the reason for her distinctive singing style and, for example, on Mountain Sound the chorus has some wonderful Icelandic flavour that I think really adds to it. But that's just me : )

Completely agree. I think Nanna really does this band justice on many of their songs with the flavor she adds. Her voice, and the bands overall raw sound blends perfectly.

The early teens were a magical time for music - these guys, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Jonah and the Whale, all had a folk sound with occasional brass instruments. Gone too soon.

It's so cute how the two singers look to each other for cues, etc...! :D PS: Do all girls from Iceland look like gorgeous pixies or fairies? I have two daughters that look like they could be from Iceland, they are so gorgeously pixie-ish. When Bjork was big they had all kinds of boys and girlies hanging about the house.

I love this video, it always makes me feel good. The small area makes it feel so intimate and everyone seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves despite the cramped and heated metal box. I wish I was there for this one

This may be the best performance of Little Talks I've ever seen. It seemed to be one of those rare occasions where a band and their audience really connected. Combined with the obvious good humor and camaraderie of OMAM it made for a kind of performance magic.

My favorite version of "Dirty Paws". Love the trumpet....and the bass adds wonderful substance. Vocals compliment each other with an understated, ethereal beauty, at once soft and powerful.
