You can always make a pirate base. It's not about the wording or anything, but if you make a trading station which is only supplied by raiding, then you have a pirate base :)

Really like the concept of the tide in the Avarice system. It's avoidable, and has a reward to taking the risk to invest in the area.

Well at first I'm going to play the story missions and learn every single new feature which this DLC has to offer. Later then I will use the new systems and features in my older saves as I see fit. I have already built a scrap oven in Silent witness. Scrap processing (to Computronic substrate and Silicon Carbide) is at the Moon because of better profits. Now all I'm waiting for is the Teuta to get things rolling big time. Oh and the Astrid is going to be my new CEO ship. That's for sure.

I must say the structure design for stations and some ships start looking awfully "realistic" and "practical" in shape and form. I root for "so much realism as possible"-stance, because it feels better ingame. More immersive and believable. Good job egosoft. Me like! :)

@@CaptainCollins For ships I like all ships, new and old. I have to look again, bc names are not in my head yet. But that sleek designs with antennas infront kind of style is really my thing :) But stations, I really liked the one in this opening vid. It really looks like a real station. Slim, docking ports placed in a "good" spot with plenty of room for undocking. If you build a station every square meters count. Its expensive, so every thing counts according to ease of manufacturing and the assembly of a station. Yah kind of realistic I think :)

It's really going to depend on how much of a pain they make living in Avarice. If it's too dangerous the DLC won't be worth it.
