@@JamesJohnson-fb1sg 🎯 (Greetings, fellow Texan) Exactly. This fool wouldnt've gotten away with threatening a homeowner on his own property, had this taken place in the rurals. By the time the police arrived, they would have had to take him away in a body bag This is only my opinion, but Im beginning to think this kind of behavior is something ppl only get away with in NYC, because with the heavy proliferation of guns there. When you have to live in an environment saturated with so many guns & an elevated level of gun crimes, everyone is afraid of getting shot for no good reason. And thats when you have ppl putting up with things they shouldnt have to put up with, just to live one more day. Ppl around Chicago must be facing this same issue, too. Too many guns; to much gun violence

It's the publics fault for not knowing our rights and letting these tyrants get away with way too much for decades. They believe they are not accountable to the law. They think they are above it because we allowed them to think like that for far too long. Their "authority " over anyone only is activated when you've broken a law or statute. They work for us. They are mere public servants, nothing more. Their gang mentality is coming to an end, hopefully soon, or there will be a day of reckoning. Thank GOD for camera phones and body cameras.

Civil rights are put in place so this doesn't happen. But no wonder why cops think they're above the law. They wear a badge, carry a gun, and think they have access to anything and everything you own with little to no punishment. It's definitely a broken system if off duty law enforcers have more power over even innocent civilians. This is how anarchy starts. Why be a law-abiding citizen if you're going to have a gun in your face and be treated like a criminal for no reason? If the cops want to play these games, then they can't complain when it eventually backfires on them. Law enforcers need to know their place. To be fair, they DON'T have a duty to protect you. They never did. That's not what the police are there for. You are responsible for your own safety and protection - nobody else. The police are first responders, not first preventers. What we're paying them to do and what they're actually doing are two different things. They're supposed to be paid to enforce the law, uphold the Constitution as the law of the land, and respond to emergencies. Functionally, more often than not, they're paid to generate revenue for their locality/state and often literally enforce tyranny.

@redonk1740 Yes, and I don't think most people realize that. Also, in many places, there are local laws in place that state individuals are required to assist officers when instructed by the officer to do so, even to assist in the arrest of other people. That would seem to be a rights violation.

@sharonobryan9713 yeah screw that assisting bullshit if they don't have to protect me I'll be dammed if I'm protecting them or helping I don't care about a plaque and a TV interview is rather people be free and not have to deal with them besides most times law enforcement is in the wrong not knowing the law had one tell us the other day that we couldn't ride a side by side down the side of the state highway like the law allows because it was private property all along the road and we would have to stop and ask everyone if it was OK to ride down the public right away along the edge of the road so that's why it's illegal to drive one down the state highway in a state that allows it Indiana and its up to the counties of you can ride on county roads which is legal in most the state as well his argument basically was saying you couldn't be in that right away with anything unless the homeowner okd it he probably would try and arrest someone for filming something as well

Police officer, on private property, no exigent circumstances, no warrant, threatening with a firearm in the curtilage of a private home. Civil Rights law suit for documented on camera, trespass, admission of property damage, physical assault (on the porch), intimidation with a weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and the list goes on.

At 4:35 when he walks up with his phone and turns his back to the homeowner that allegedly threatened his life with a pen, he showed he was NEVER in fear for his physical well beig /safety. Immediately go to jail.

To my understanding in New Jersey if someone breaks in your house you have to try and leave before you could even think about defending yourself

Read the 2nd Amendment . At your home we have this right for protection . It does not give cops any rights over this to threaten with a gun . We have the right to defend our lives .

It was so egregious they probably had no choice but to charge him. Notice they charged him with a felony and a misdemeanor. It gives the optics they're being hard on him, but this cop will get a sweetheart plea deal in the end. It's a pattern of practice. They'll drop the felony if he pleas to the misdemeanor, he'll get probation, keep his police certification, and get a job at a department in the next city over.
