Thanks for doing this test Dino. This is a great result, and a relief since I bought one too. The air that is expelled from the exhaust tube is being sucked in from outside, which I presume is warming the van up while the AC is using cooled air from within the van to blow over the condenser. With my install, I'm planning to locate the AC outside and only port cooled air into the camper. Possibly a "six of one, half a dozen of the other" switch...I don't know.

Nice little unit. Surprised by how much water was in the jug. Last summer I installed a Sirocco 2 fan which I used in conjunction with the MaxxFan blowing night air in. The temperature difference created a cooling effect very similar to aircon. I wish had installed the Sirocco fan at the start of summer, not the end of summer. Live and learn.

Thanks for sharing 👍😎

Informative video as always Dino. Honestly a lot of your uploads need to be shared on social media as an information piece for those who ask “how much solar or battery do I need”
@JustinCaseSolarPower
Very doable. With my 650Ah of lithium batteries and 550W Solar panels. I would still have a loss in power though, mainly due to the 30amp mppt charger and the size of the solar panel. The hotter the sun the less power a solar panel produces. Not an every day runner but great for when you get the really hot days of 45 to 50c.. No reason you could not add in a very small generator and a 30Amp battery charger for the really hot days though. I will be doing a test of a very small generator Soon. Its a bit bigger then a 100amp lithium battery and at just 14kg will not add much weight to the loaded camper. 😉 ✌ 👍

Thanks for the upload Dino....its great to see another comparison video. Do find yours takes a while to get cool after the compressor kicks in? My Click portable aircon takes a while to get cold and i noticed that it holds R290 gas which most dont actually use. However in the camper trailer it cools beautifully and i like the strong fan (we can sleep with the noise ok). We got ours for the night time too via a generator or mains at a caravan Park or freecamp with paid power. It's still a bargain for $279. Cherrs mate, Yoshi

Hi Dino. Inside the cabin directly behind the passenger seat there is a round opening not far were the fire extinguisher area. I dont know.what is used.for but i guess toyota left ot there in case people need access to engine area. I think if you run the air con exhaust flexible duct towards the bottom.of the van. I think we just hit the jackpot for this set up. Of this works everyone ill end up buying hiaces for camping instead the unrealible others 😂😂😂.
@Michael-ez7jc
Would like to see how much solar needed to run it.
