Looks like the van is doing a great job Cam, out of the wind, no flapping canvas and Airconditioning! Had a good laugh when you prioritise fishing over a rescue We have done the same when my mates son slipped of the boat in shark invested waters, we just watched him rescue himself, the look on his face was gold! If you’re lazy like me and you want to get to the reef fast there is a product called a “whippeller” that connects on to a straight shaft whipper snipper, you basically have a 5kg outboard motor for $150 that straps on to the kayak I prefer catching than paddling lol

It’s those windy times that it’s great to be able to pop into the sanctuary of a full sized van, no folding walls out or having to pop the roof up. Just enjoy. love the vids, have a question tho of the basis of enjoying the caravan and having owned a camper and hybrid,, with say $35,000.00 to spend what would you buy a brand new camper with extras, 2nd hand hybrid or an old caravan?
@WildTouring2 жыл бұрын
Totally depends on your needs. The caravan suits us better for family travelling and longer term trips but the hybrid was awesome for getting more off grid and towing down 4x4 tracks. Don’t think we would ever buy a camper again now, we’re soft and enjoy the luxury of a shower, toilet and inner spring mattress! Haha. Different strokes for different folk though, as long as you get out there and enjoy it! 😎

If you pound that octopus with a mallet first and then place it in a pot with no water at all and let cook in its own juices first and then bbq it, it will be tender. Boiling it in water will turn it into rubber. As a wog I grew up eating it, and when done right, its the best.

Also insurance. If you have an accident and your rig gets taken away to be assessed... best believe they will get outta paying for it if they can. Who can afford to lose 150k if not more of asset due to voided insurances.

@@krump743 being over loaded is not an automatic claim denial. Only if the overloading can be proven to have contributed to the crash. It’s like saying a busted indicator bulb voids your insurance. Simply not true

@@liamwindsor5854 uh huh u wanna take that chance do ya. A massive amount of 4wds are illegally modded, if ur relying on someone else being at fault in an accident cause u choose to over weight it, hoping so ur insurance wont deny it thats a stupid way to gamble as u trek around the country.

Cam, not sure if you are interested (or other subscribers) but I have a 180w AllSpark solar blanket with MPPT controller that I am selling for $450 on Market Place (original cost was $700 back in March 2022). We have been forced to sell our van (21.5ft Newlands Tourister) due to medical issues and did not include the portable solar blanket. ORL have advised they will support the balance (4.3 years) of the 5 year warranty to the new owner. We were based in Mandurah but have now relocated to Mount Gambier SA and happy to split freight costs with the buyer.
