Them bugs bugging you 😆 Plano makes some awesome cases. I have one of their plastic ammo cases. A good rule of thumb with 120VAC is a line loss of 3VAC/100' of cord. My guess is in the walls you have 14/2 Cu going to the light, switch, and plugs. There could just be something wrong with the 1000W inverter...or that could be it's peak. A good rule for inverters and gen sets is take 50% of the flashy advertised number and that's more likely what you'll get. A regular household circuit is 1500W. I would look for and inverter rated for an output of at least 3000W. I do like the idea of adding on to the battery end. ✅ If you get an identical battery and connect it in series you will certainly increase the voltage to 24VDC and the run time to 210Ah.
