Just discovered your channel today with this video, and subscribed immediately! Anyone that cooks up a moose pie in a Coleman oven, will have the type of content I'm looking for!! I've been cooking with a Coleman folding camp oven for almost 50 years - yes they've been around that long! With a little practice you can bake up anything in them you might like. They work best on an old Coleman naphtha/white gas stove as they produce more heat than a Coleman propane camp stove. But it sure looks like it still worked well for you guys. If you get yourself a pizza stone for it (instead of the ceramic plate) that will even out the heat for you even better, and keep food from burning on the bottom. Over time the sides of the oven may warp a bit making it more difficult to assemble. No problem, just use a few short metal screws and leave her permanently set up in your cabin, saves setting it up every time you go to use it! That's what we've ended up doing in our hunt camp and cottage over the years. Nothing like fresh hot tea biscuits right out of the Coleman oven, smothered with butter and Crosby's molasses!! Make your drop biscuits from store bought Bisquick (just don't tell your viewers what you are using), and you'll look like a pro camp chef for sure!

Thank you so much for the great tips, I’ll give you a shout out the next time I use. We are planning on getting a gas Coleman stove for its better burn. Take care

I tell you what , I'm going to be hiring you two if I ever have to cook for a crowd lol. Tell you what it looks delicious and I'm not even finished the video yet lol. I got one of those little ovens for Christmas haven't had a chance to try it yet. As I watch you just dished the pie on the plate and I'm drooling here , that looks great. Oh my and dessert you guys were roughing it, I'm jealous lol. Awesome Video

This was the first time I watched your video I enjoyed it. I subscribed hope to watch more just to give you some tips on Pie crust. Always make sure you have some flour on your surface when you're rolling out the crust so that it doesn't stick to the surface. When you go to pick it up. And I think the problem you are having when you took it out of the plastic wrap was that it was so cold and it was so thick. You Should have let it warm up some. but always take and Rollout pie crust on a flour surface. Feel free to ask any questions on outdoor cooking if you like more than happy to help . thanks for sharing your adventures

Thanks Dale, I was wondering when someone was going to pick up in that, my wife owns a restaurant and it’s the first thing she said to me but we had fun and the pie was delicious. Stay tuned to the next video where I made salmon burgers. Take care
