I think this is my favourite vlog from you guys so far. Thoughtful, mindful, reflective and forward looking. The hard work will always be with you, it comes with the territory of off-gridding/homesteading, but there should be moments of reflection and it's good to see you sharing them. You are so right about listening to your heart. Your mind is a selfish, agressive thing. If you have any kind of addiction you know that your heart wants to help but your mind just wants what it wants. It is very ego centered. For weed whacking, get a Tyvek disposable suit ($10-12 at your local hardware store). These can last for a long time if you just brush off the burrs when you're finished and use them again. They don't tear like the paper ones. Since they are white, light weight and cool enough they can be used on a hot/warm day.

Three things: 1. By giving the pig weed a “Chelsea chop”, you’ll find it gets bushier and flowers later. It might last longer and therefore provide that soil shade a little longer. 2. Humbly suggest you might want to get some disposable coveralls for the weed whacking. Big A online retailer has a pack of 5 for $40. Maybe a face shield as well. 😄. 3. Jessica - very wise words. Life is a marathon not a sprint so you are wise to take the long view.
