It's so amazing!!! Made me cry! What a game changer. I don't know what you paid for that system, but it was worth it! Water is life 💦. Thanks to our Lord for people who have the intellect to build these things. 💜 So happy for you. I feel like I could do it after watching this wonderful tutorial. Thanks, and thanks RPS.

Great content, upgrading the main tank where the pump is the barrel is to small. I can't remember seeing you place holes on the top of the IBC tank. This would allow the pressure to be released while the tanks are being fulled
@HeartwayFarms Жыл бұрын
Yes, an upgraded primary tank would be better for keeping up with water. The IBC tanks have large screw tops in the center of them.

Great Great work. Thank you for sharing. I am in southern California. In the suburban area. Just clean up the hillside and find a creek down the hill. Looking solution to pump the water up to water the hillside. This maybe it. Thank you

That was excellent! Very informative. Way to think outside the box! For the time being, a tarp over the totes would accomplish the same thing as paint. Being you guys get winter, I assume you will have to drain all the system or do you figure that building the tanks into a bale shed or something of that nature would keep them liquid? None the less, enjoyed that!

I wonder if a much larger tank at the spring/ low line side would allow you to utilize the system as a pressurized line with longer duration of supply. You could tap into your long line for intermittent watering stations.
@HeartwayFarms Жыл бұрын
Yes, we have considered adding a much larger spring cistern allowing for a more constant draw and distribution during the day hours.

If you raised tank #1 up (wood stage, or tractor dirt), the water level of all the other tanks would fill to the top. No? I watched it all - good job - nice family - congrats. Good music choice.

Question please ,if your holding tanks /tank uses a foot switch that cut off water when the holding tank fills up. Does this mean you would use gravity for water flow from the holding tanks to where you are going to use the water ? If yes why would you not just let when you are not using the water to cause the water pressure to build up and cut off . Now you would have what 45psi until the hose or facet was cut off then the pressure of the line build up would cut of the pump ? This would give you the pressure to where you was using the water as well , or did I miss something ?
@HeartwayFarms7 ай бұрын
The reason we have the system set up this way is because the holding tank is located at the highest point on the property. Additionally, it is not sealed in pressurized so the switch it is not sealed in pressurized so the valve is at the destination and when it gets full it shuts It off at the source. The reason this is done is because the source is consistent but that does not have a high volume of water thus needing a holding tank that is allowed to be filled up and topped off all the time to meet the needs. This is done often when you're source is consistent but is not producing a large volume of water. You would then either use your holding tank to produce pressure by gravity or by adding a booster pump to give you the proper pressure that you need to your destination. The people at RPS are great at setting up the systems and are used to setting up single phase systems or multiple phase system depending on your needs. Hopefully this helps to answer it a little bit more clearly. When you don't have a seal tank and you're worried about it overflowing you can't necessarily maintain pressure in the line to gain that side of the system. Hopefully that makes sense :) please feel free to reach out to the people at RPS they are wonderful to speak to and they know their information very well we've provided a link to that they know that you found out about us and have questions through us! Thank you so much and hopefully this helps :-) shop.rpssolarpumps.com/pages/heartway

What I have understood about water pressure is if there are 45psi at the pump. Then it would not matter how far you would run the water pipe . Once the pressure get at 45 psi at the pump this would be the same 45psi anywhere in the line no matter how far the water pipe ran . I'm still leaning so I do not know everything just trying to understand.

The pumping system is outstanding! It is totally expandable to modify and adjust as you need. The true variable is your water supply. RPS is a great resource and the team is very knowledgeable to adjust each system to work for each situation.

Are you gonna bury the tanks in the ground
@HeartwayFarms Жыл бұрын
Was thinking about it. But then after I gave it a full summer this year, we have not had a single bit of algae buildup in the tanks aboveground. It's actually been kind of cool because if it was creek water or anything else it would be green and disgusting within a week or two. I do have future plans to modify this and make it more permanent after we have tested it and utilized it in its current state.

Over price for the system. I can do a fraction of that on my own. Too bad too many people don't know better with lacking of understanding of solar panel and dc submersible pump. I can do a 48v system with 2 300w tier1 solar panels ad a 48V pump for under $400. Way more powerful than those skimpy panels RPS is selling for $1000 and more bucks.Then i control the pump with my phone using the espxxx wifi module anywhere on earth remotely and locally. If one does not makes an effort to learn and do then one will pay to the nose. 99% of the population will not do that so they pay. Solar pump is so simple and easy and cheap once you know how.
