I wish you would have gone more into the operation of the vest, including how to repack it, servicing, and any fees associated with this activity. I love Alpinestars, but many of these vest don't make sense for people who are on a budget or if the vest needs to be sent to the manufacture for servicing. Keep up the great content Jamie!

Each Tech-Air Off-Road has two argon canisters for two deployments. We designed the Tech-Air Off-Road to be user-serviceable so you can change the canisters yourself. Tech-Air systems are also designed to be fully-inflated for 5 seconds and the self-deflate over the next 5 seconds. However, after four deployments, you'll need to send the whole system in for servicing. To service the jacket, it will have to be sent in to our Headquarters in California. Spare canisters for the Tech Air Off-Road can be purchased for $169.95 and full service after four deployments will run $299.95. Hope this helps!

yes what happens when it go off, do you ride rest of the 1000 miles with blowed vest or not vest at all??

Should you happen to use both while out on a ride and don't spare canisters, there is passive armor on the shoulders, elbows, chest, and back that act as a standard armored jacket to get you home. If you do have spare canisters, we designed it to be user-serviceable so you can change the canisters yourself. However, after four deployments, you'l need to send the whole system in for refurbishing.

Where is Helite offroad review? I have both Helite offroad and Alpinestars offroad, to me personally Helite feel better in any way!
