Off-road Outback Expedition, Kennedy Range to Mt Augustus (part 2/3)
Welcome to a mini series overlanding the West Australian Outback. Picking up from where we left in part 1 it is Day 2 in the afternoon and we have a fair bit of ground to cover before we reach camp. Day 3 we head over to the east side of the Kennedy and the weather starts to turn on us.

My new favourite overlanding show! I appreciate all the angels you're filming from. I know it's a lot of extra work. I am trying to document my overland trip through Central America/Mexico at the moment, but often get so caught up in driving the dirt and getting where I am going I forget to take the time to get different angles. Anyway, it's a learning prosses and I thank you for the inspiration.

It's amazing! Especially in part 1 where the Kangaroo came across the trail haha. I just love it when you guys reach an obstacle of some kind, and you explain it. A lot of these "overland" videos, I think it's just dudes with a lot of money driving around. They don't actually know much beyond "here's how much my tires were." But I always learn something from your videos. Great work!

Have been to the homestead a few times and is always really interesting. The second homestead was abandoned in the 60's and is called Mt. Sandiman Shearing shed. The drive to the west side of the range is always fun. The Local owners were all known and would often give us the best info. Hector bore-Honeycomb gorge track though has not been driven in a few years. We have always been keen to try and get back with less wheels and make a go of it. Great Video as always Ronny & Brian!!!

Best regards from Germany. What a perfect made Video!!! I can"t wait to see the 3. part..... The quality is nearly profesional. I wish i could come to australia to do lots of 4x4 trips like you have shown on youtube, but i can"t afford it. I also like your "modified-series very much and i would like to see a modified VW-Amarok or a G-Wagon if they exist in australia. Maybe these german cars are not so popular in downunder. I"m a big fan of what you do and how you do that. Please go on doing it!

What an awesome vid. I grew up going to the Kennedy ranges and this is the first footage ive seen since - it really makes me want to get back there. Your shows are incredible quality and really enjoyable to watch, i hadn't seen any before today and ive spent the whole arvo watching! Well done on putting it all together and also your comments / attitude about looking after these places. I can't believe you dont have a prime time spot on tv because it kicks ass on most shows. Just wondering what type of drone do you use.? Keep it up, you've really inspired me to get back to my birth state and especially up north. Thanks

Hey Ronny. Thanks for taking everybody out on your trips. I really enjoy your videos, as I had no opportunity to visit Australia yet. But, there are meanwhile some questions. Who the hell is your drone pilot? The drone footage is really great. What kind of drone do you use for these clips? Do you always first have to find out, who's the owner of the land you're going to cross and inform them? Then you got quite a lot of investigation to do before you can start. Is there something like "illegal wild camping" in Australia or is it leag to put up camp wherever you like? And then I was a little surprised when you introduced your team (about 6:00" to 10:00"). To me it looked a little, as if you're visitng some neighbors on some campsite. Everybody had his own dinner and their own (seperated) camp. This didn't look like a group of "good old friends" who do the cooking for the group and stay closer together with their tents and cars. Is it always like that, that everybody does his own thing when driving in a group? But, at the end it's important, that everybody gets the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful scenery and knows that there will be help during such an off-road-trip when needed. I'm looking forward to watching many more videos. Enjoy the outdoors and continue with your movies. They are just perfect. Best wishes from Germany.

Those 70 series aren't known for returning good fuel economy. Unfortunately Toyota still use a 25 year old 5 speed gearbox which results in higher engine revs. It is around 1200kms from Perth to KRNP, the road is tarmac to Gascoyne Junction. Big tyres, heavy loads probably mean something in the order of 18 to 20L/100km.
