I often herd, if there is slag you drag. The technology of welding machines now is amazing. I recently bought a 40? year old Lincoln AC buzz box cheap. I can hardly lift it but those machines run forever and burn deep. I also have a Lincoln 210 MP which has been a great welder. Cheers

Hey Jerry that is great little welder . I know the vid was about that particular welder and how you might be able to pack it along , and it is a great option , and a great little welder , that could get you out of a bind out on the trail (we all hope you never need it...but...) In the Jeep , particularly overlanding , space is at a premium . What I do is use what I have (partially) I usually have a few 1lb. propane tanks as well as the 5 pounder which is mounted to the spare , so I carry a small self igniting torch attachment (very small) . I screw the torch attachment to the 1 pounder and viola you have enough heat there to braze , just bring a few brazing rods , so if that unfortunate situation comes up you can braze the parts together to hopefully get you outta the bush .... "just stick it together man" as my old pipeline welding teacher used to jokingly say ! LOL ! Cheers,Wild Bill overlanding the remotest regions of northern Canada .

Now you have to try it out in the bush for real. Looks like a great little welder though. And if a power bank can supply the power needed it's a win.

I kinda like that little welder for small jobs . It would come in handy for trail repairs in my opinion . I like to pull my welds but sometimes I have to push them. Great video again Jerry . Pets to Ms. Carmen from me please. Take care my friend.

I ran all my pipe certification welds pulling the arc. Easier to see what the bead looks like on the go.

I think it's not mig lol. but with innersheild it's for sure drag. pushing can trap slag. is the machine capable of using gas do you can weld with hardwire?

It does have the gas hookup yes

@BackCountryWrenching you shoulda also be able to get away with a 1500w power supply. at 1500w. that's roughly 13.5 amps. that's what most heaters or ac units max out as. so as to not trip a standard breaker. add that to your memory bank
