Can we talk about how incredible it is that AJ finished faster than SIX PAST WINNERS? it shows how much faster the race itself has become. Super inspiring, keep it up!

Am glad they showed the hands finally as few have shared how this is one of the hardest residual factors following the race. I did the amateur version in ‘91 and my palm’s were ripped to shreds. They screamed in the first few showers and everything I held hurt like hell for a week at least…what an insane event…fricken loved it then and love it still. Hell is heaven.

Interesting I did the amateur Ronde and E3 in 1990 so I understand how much it can hurt, but why don't they wear gel mits?

@@ridley8340 double bar tape, gel mits, greasing the gloves insides; nothing worked - you just had to deal with it. Thus so many people only see the surface of the suffering this race produces and I’ve often thought it would be awesome if someone produced a thorough and complete documentary on Paris Roubaix. Good to “meet” a Ronde compatriot ☺️

Riding no mitts is better. It’s the chaffing between and glove material and the hand that damages the skin

Tom Pidcock desperately needs to leave Ineos, it will kill his career - he looks miserable over the last few months when his schedule was changed. Ineos have made the decision to back Rodríguez and Bernal over Pidcock. Shame as Rodríguez is just a Dani Martinez clone (boring), and Bernal is not the rider he was in in 2019, neither winners, just top ten.
