Phil B - Cal is nowhere near the player Ryan is and he's not gonna do you any good except for an occasional 4th line fill-in. But Ryan is gonna be an absolute stud for you guys. I just became a Buffalo fan because of this trade.

+Sun Child ur not a real Buffalo fan if u became one just cause of a trade bud
@sunchild94818 жыл бұрын
Oh, so because I haven't always followed or liked Buffalo for as long as some people, that makes me less of a fan? That's downright stupid "bud"!!! I'm a fan of players more than specific teams. Therefore, if a team becomes better because of certain players contributions, then yeah, I'm probably going to become more of a fan of that team.

mark brighton reminds me of how noisy an empty wagon is compared to a loaded one. Poor guy, sitting in mom’s basement taking in information hoping use on someone actually working at a life. I found no guilty plea supporting your claim. Almost looked up just how squeaky clean your record is but taking a higher road. Thankfully you can probably see, without cable, him hoist the stanly cup and have his name forever embossed. THEN you’ll have something to tell your children about. Did ya post on any Holly Berry videos ?

WELCOME TO BUFFALO!!!!
@sunchild94819 жыл бұрын
SwagUpification - You guys are gonna love Ryan O'Reilly. His defensive game is one of the best in the league. I was so bummed to see him leave Denver. But in all fairness, for the contract he was looking for, he hadn't earned that kind of money...YET!!! I truly think he will at some point though, without a doubt.
@-_-Code-_-9 жыл бұрын
Sun Child i thought so too.. i hope this dwai isnt a sign of things to come.
@sunchild94819 жыл бұрын
RC Codes - I really don't think he'll be a huge problem for you guys. I think this just happened to be an isolated incident where alcohol became the main factor (no pun intended) and a dumb decision was made. I'd be really surprised if he started to fall apart now.
@-_-Code-_-9 жыл бұрын
Sun Child i agree, its just when he came here from the avs there was a lot of character questions on why sakic and co seemed to want no part in dealing with him.. (outside obvious cap restrictions)... so this just fuels the fire, and whats worse is throwing the guy 54 mil just to have him go and do this, shitting on the management of the org he just joined. if this happened a few weeks ago we get him for a budget on a 3 year deal.
@sunchild94819 жыл бұрын
RC Codes - Actually, when the 1st contract negotiations went south, his father sent a letter to the Denver Post advocating for a bigger contract, but primarily based his stance on Ryan's character and not so much on what he had earned up to that point. So Adrian Dater posted the letter on his blog and the fans went ape-shit over how he didn't have character because he refused the initial contract. But to be honest with you, the contract that Greg Sherman offered was downright insulting and he refused to try and work out a reasonable deal with ROR. That's where that whole thing started from. And that's also why Sherman was demoted to a financial role exclusively. I love this guy's character on and off the ice. He was the hardest working player on that team and the players and coaches know it. If the Avs didn't screw up and extend Landeskog and Duchene's contracts prematurely, they would have had the money to pay ROR. But with those contracts already signed and the upcoming extensions for E.J. and Barrie, there was no way they could pay him that kind of money long term. I will also say that there's no way in hell you guys would have gotten him cheap or for a sorter deal. Several teams were very interested in this guy and they would have paid handsomely to land him. Buffalo just happened to be in the best position to get him because they're in a rebuild and are way above the salary cap. Also, when hockey starts up again, pay close attention to him even if he doesn't have the puck. The guy is super smart and makes some awesome plays. But he needs to play center and not wing. If they play him at center, you guys will get a 30+ goals a year player. If they keep him at wing, he'll get around 20+ goals a year. Either way, Buffalo fans are gonna love him real quick!!!

@annihilationHaven7 жыл бұрын
And the hockey was much more interesting to watch. End-to-end rushes and 8-4 blowouts were common. Now, we have 2-1,3-2 games and the players have gone to extreme lengths to self-censor. Talk about verbal castration, these are not men, they're whimps, they really need a second job to become real men.
@davebarnett85467 жыл бұрын
I agree, the hockey was more interesting to watch, but to say todays players are whimps is preposterous. Most of the players from the 80's would struggle in todays AHL so maybe some perspective is in order.
@justinwise67815 жыл бұрын
