Of course there are elevators in Thailand😂 but what she probably meant is that the particular building may not have an elevator included in the building permit so they cannot install later for safety reasons.

Arden keep your cool. Some foreigners like the summer in Thailand. I was really lucky in August of 2024. The weather was splendid. The language is another problem for me. Whether it was a male or female . I would say Sawadee ka to everybody. Till one nice lady said to me Sawadee ka is for a female, and Sawadee kurp is for a male., and I said what do you say for a lady boy. She laughed. I had so many proposals thrown to me. If I wanted a girlfriend. I said no thank you. I was 27 years in Hell, now I just wanted to enjoy my life.
