I watched Freakazoid! when it came out with my son when he was little and I was in my 30s, and I loved the show.... Then decades later Deadpool came out and while watching him go off all I could think of was that this guy was the adult version of Freakazoid! So, to do a comparison I pulled out the VHS and the tapes my son wouldn't get rid of and watched it all again - letterboxed on a 55" 4k TV and all I could think of was that it was far-far superior to anything coming out today. Looking back and I'm retro-shocked that Spielberg could get away with this, and Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain back in those days. Yea, the cartoon network stuff was fun but this stuff out of WB was actually gold now that I'm looking back at it!

Random Fact (coming from a guy who loves Freakazoid and freaks out (pun intended) when other people see Freakazoid): Freakazoid was honestly given all of the short sticks. From the team only having 3-ish months to make and finish the entire first season, the network airing the show on extremely bizarre times (So much so that the SERIES CREATORS couldn't find the show because the executives decided to put it on at like 5 AM FOR SOME REASON), to unintentionally bringing in the wrong age demographic (young adults to adults). As you can see from just a few of the examples I provided, this show was designed to be canceled. So the creators just decided to just have fun with it and make stuff they would find funny and putting it in. Oh also, like the show "Gravity Falls," this show also ended with a performance of "We'll Meet Again," but with everyone singing it together. TLDR: I love Freakazoid. The show was constantly drawing the short stick, but that didn't stop everyone working on it from just having fun with it. PS. My favorite jokes were the lip sync joke, the multiple weenie jokes, the jeepers rant, and the Freakazoid's weakness joke.

Aye! Very familiar with Freakazoid! Love its animation and humor, been quite awhile since I’ve seen it though. Oh and you mentioned that Candle Man, huh? What was his full name again? Uhhh… oh!
