The families in Jinete are fortune for keeping their traditions and away from newer inventions. I can se the happiness in their eyes and their attitudes, what a fortune; I am not Mexican but I do enjoy the food!!!

Mi abuela en Nayarit hacia esta sopa. Una delicia. Con quesito fresco y una salsa martajada de molcajete. Éramos felices y no lo sabíamos.

¡Feliz año Nuevo Pati! I remember this wonderful episode! That capirotada looks like it can blow away traditional bread puddings and French toast, and looks easy to make. And the belly button dumpling soup looks perfect to have right about now. And I would love to be in that warmthy ranch of Jinetes instead of facing the Dallas freeze.

I love how you show different parts of Mexico and the local cuisine. Keep these videos coming please! Adding ate to the Capirotada was brilliant and a delicious idea!😍 I wonder if it would also work for sweet tamales?

I liked capirotada as a young kid, not so much as an adult. I think I know why. My Mother doesn’t use piloncillo anymore and she can’t remember the recipes anymore 😢
